Buyer's guide · Simulations

Best business simulations for corporate training and leadership development in 2026: 14 compared

Vendor facts checked · 14 options

The short answer

Corporate business simulations fall into two groups: facilitated team simulations sold by quote (Capsim, Cesim, Celemi, BTS, Abilitie, Harvard Business Impact) and self-serve simulations with a published price (Forio from $168 a seat; Bodhih Arena micro-sims at ₹499 or $12 a person). Choose by audience size, facilitation and the skill to practise.

A business simulation lets people make decisions with consequences — pricing, cash, hiring, a crisis — without risking the real business, then debrief why the results happened. For training buyers, the products differ most in three ways: whether a facilitator must run it, whether teams or individuals play, and whether you can see a price before you call sales.

Facts below come from each provider’s own site, checked on 24 October 2026. Almost every corporate simulation vendor sells by quote, and durations are often unpublished; where that is the case we say so.

How we built this list

  • Included: simulations sold to companies for leadership, management, finance, strategy or business-acumen training.
  • Checked for each: format (team or individual, facilitated or self-run), length, published price and credential.
  • Unpublished prices and durations are marked as such rather than estimated.
  • Order: Bodhih Arena is ours, so it is listed first and labelled. The rest are alphabetical. This is a shortlist with facts, not a ranking.

Disclosure: Bodhih publishes this guide and sells the product marked “Our product”. We receive nothing from the other providers listed, and links to them are not affiliate links.

How to choose

Facilitated team simulation or self-run micro-simulation?

Facilitated team simulations (a day or more, run by an expert) build shared business acumen in a leadership group and suit a programme launch or an offsite. Self-run micro-simulations (10 to 20 minutes, scored automatically) suit large audiences, spaced practice between workshops and pre-work, because everyone can play without booking a facilitator.

Ask how the debrief works

The learning happens in the debrief, not the game. Ask whether each decision is explained, whether scores map to named skills, and whether learners can replay a new scenario to apply what they learned.

Common questions

Questions people ask next

How much does a business simulation for corporate training cost?

Most corporate simulation vendors sell by quote. Of those checked in October 2026, Forio publishes a price from $168 a seat a year (minimum 15 seats), and Bodhih Arena micro-sims cost ₹499 + GST in India or $12 elsewhere per person, with team formats from ₹1,999 or $39 a seat.

What is the best simulation for finance training for non-finance managers?

Facilitated options include Celemi Apples & Oranges and Capsim’s business-acumen programmes. Self-run options include Bodhih Arena’s Cash Crunch Friday (cash flow, 20 minutes) and Five-Minute Balance Sheet (reading accounts, 15 minutes).

Can business simulations run inside our LMS?

Some can. Bodhih Arena micro-sims and its team tournament launch through LTI 1.3 from Canvas, Moodle, Blackboard and D2L. Ask other vendors whether they support LTI or SCORM before you buy.

Can I try a business simulation for free?

Cesim offers a free trial account, and Bodhih Arena has a free three-round taster at bodhih.org/taste-arena with no sign-up.

Why is Bodhih Arena listed first?

Because it is our product and we say so. The rest are listed alphabetically with facts from their own sites, and every entry has a “watch out for” line.
