Is there an AI course for supply chain and operations professionals?
Yes. Bodhih Applied AI: Operations and Supply Chain, known as the AI for Supply Chain course, is a self-paced online certification from Bodhih Training Solutions, Bengaluru. It covers forecasting and S&OP, inventory policy, sourcing and supplier risk, OTIF and OEE, SOPs and root cause, and operations agents in seven modules, with graded labs, simulations and a capstone on your own operation.
Do I need to code to take the AI for Supply Chain course?
No. You use spreadsheets and AI assistants, and the labs run in the browser with no software, licence or AI cost. You should be comfortable with basic spreadsheet work such as SUM, filters and simple formulas, because the course has you calculate forecast accuracy, safety stock, OTIF and OEE yourself.
Which AI tools does the course use?
Any your organisation approves, for example Copilot, ChatGPT, Gemini or Claude. The course is tool-agnostic, and the skills apply to the AI features in planning and ERP tools too: check your own vendor’s current features. Every course exercise uses fictional data, so no company data is needed to learn.
Is this ASCM (APICS) CSCP or CPIM exam preparation, or CIPS or CPSM preparation?
No. The course is not preparation for ASCM’s CSCP or CPIM, ISM’s CPSM or any CIPS qualification, and it is not endorsed by ASCM, CIPS or ISM. Those programmes cover a body of knowledge for an exam; this course is about using and checking AI tools on daily operations work. It can sit alongside one of them, as a complement rather than a substitute.
How long does the AI for Supply Chain course take?
About 16 hours: seven modules of 75 to 85 minutes, a 25-minute baseline, a capstone of about five hours and a 30-minute final. It is self-paced, and most people take about 7 weeks at a couple of hours a week, with booster questions two and seven days after each module.
What is the capstone?
An AI-enabled improvement on your own operation: the problem and baseline metric, the data and analysis, the AI workflow with a log of at least five checked AI outputs, the controls, and at least two weeks of pilot results. If you cannot use work data, you use the Corvane capstone pack and a backtest on its history. A reviewer grades it on a five-criterion rubric.
What credential do I get, and is it an Open Badge?
You receive Bodhih Applied AI: Operations and Supply Chain: Practitioner once the capstone is accepted and you pass the 20-question final (70% to pass, three attempts). It is issued as an Open Badge 2.0 with a verify page and a PDF showing your baseline and final scores. It is a Bodhih credential, not a professional-body or university qualification.
Does it cover procurement, logistics and manufacturing, or only planning?
All of them: demand planning and S&OP, inventory, procurement and supplier risk, logistics and warehouse flow, production and OEE, quality and SOPs, and after-sales service through the operations lens. The lens switches the course’s examples and at-work plans to your part of operations.
Is the course right for operations managers?
Yes. Modules 1 and 7 and the capstone cover judging AI proposals and vendor claims, what to let an operations agent do, the approval points and logs it needs, and how to measure its value net of checking time. The labs also show managers what to ask their teams.
Can my company buy seats for an operations team?
Yes. Companies buy seats at $159 per seat, with company reporting of progress and before-and-after scores, and the operations lens lets one course serve planning, procurement, plants, warehouses, logistics and service. Is the content current?
It reflects November 2026: agentic AI in supply chains, decision governance for AI-enabled decisions, ISO 9001:2026 (published 16 September 2026) and the EU AI Act timelines that apply to workplace AI. Legal and standards points are taught at principle level and are not legal advice.
