Practical ways to cross the gap between knowing what to do and beginning it.
The gap between intention and action is wide for many people with ADHD, and effort alone rarely closes it. What helps is a set of small, repeatable structures. This deck lays them out clearly enough to teach, or to adopt one by one.

This is a ready-to-use, editable PowerPoint deck of about 50 slides on task initiation for ADHD. It sets out a five-component framework, three strategies (Micro-Sprints, Tiny Next Steps and dopamine-friendly workflows) and a five-step plan with tracker templates. It suits adults with ADHD, students, coaches and team leads.
Chapter 1 explains why 'just do it' fails, describes the Wall of Awful, lists the executive function gap (time blindness, working memory and others) and introduces the brain's management system. Chapter 2 sets out a five-component framework based on externalising executive function: capture tools, visual time anchors, gentle and elastic structure, stimulus-aware prompts and behavioural tracking, with an at-a-glance slide.
Chapter 3 puts it to work through three frameworks. Micro-Sprints adapt the Pomodoro technique and include an example of writing a client email. Tiny Next Steps breaks a task into one micro-action and comes with a tracker template. Dopamine-friendly workflows add novelty and pairing, supported by a dopamine menu of pre-set break activities.
Chapter 4 provides the Must-Do, Should-Do, Might-Do system, a Daily Priority Tracker, analog timers and virtual body doubling. Chapter 5 gives five steps: choose a core system, add a visual timer, define daily must-dos, schedule fun breaks and track gently. Chapters 6 and 7 cover advanced customisation and four pitfalls, such as doing too much too soon and perfectionism, each with a fix.

Share the Must-Do, Should-Do, Might-Do slide as a way of agreeing daily priorities.
Pick one core system from slide 30, add a timer, and review which pitfall you hit using chapter 7.
