The Life Document Vault · Bodhih Pro Kits · 96 by Bodhih Training, trainers to 2,000+ companies since 2008.
How do I organise important documents so my family can find them in an emergency?
Build three layers: a one-page emergency sheet for the fridge and wallet, a first 48 hours guide and care plan, and a full register of every account, policy, property, loan and online account with where the papers are. Keep secrets in a password manager with emergency access. The Life Document Vault kit from Bodhih Training gives you every file.

You already feel the problem. Here is what it is costing you.
It is all in one person's head
Most households run on one person's memory: which bank, which insurer, which drawer. When that person is in hospital, everyone else is guessing at the worst possible time.
The papers exist but nobody can find them
Certificates in a biscuit tin, policies in an email folder, a will at a lawyer's office that is closed for the holidays. Everything is there and nothing is findable by anyone else.
Passwords in the wrong places
Sticky notes in the folder, a passwords tab in a spreadsheet, photocopies of cards. Well meant, and exactly what a fraudster hopes to find.
Nominations nobody has looked at for years
Bank, pension and insurance forms filled in once and forgotten. People marry, separate and lose touch, and the form still names someone from long ago.
Phones and email lock everyone out
Security codes, banking apps and years of photos all sit behind a passcode. Without a planned route in, every account becomes a separate battle.
Picture the next few weeks with the kit open beside you.
Imagine a Sunday afternoon a month from now. As you open the grey box in the wardrobe, everything is there: twelve dividers, the Register printed at the front, a sealed envelope with your trusted person's name on it. The emergency sheet is on the fridge door. You have not had to think about any of it for weeks.
When you fill in the emergency sheet tonight, you will notice how little space the first hour really needs: who to call, your medicines, who depends on you, where the vault is. Twenty-five minutes. Then the Register takes over, one sheet an evening, and the Status columns tell you what to check next.
Picture the conversation with your trusted person. You hand over the letter, sign the access agreement together, and they accept the emergency access invitation while you are sitting side by side. Next September you run the fire drill on a video call, they find six of eight things in under ten minutes, and you both laugh about the two you need to fix.
Whether you start with the emergency sheet tonight or the Register at the weekend, the 30-day plan carries you through in 20 to 40 minutes a day, and the yearly review keeps it true after that.

Life-event triggers. Some changes cannot wait a year: a move, a new job or retirement, a marriage or separation, a new baby, a death in the family, a new diagnosis. Life-Events-Update-Decision-Card.pdf lists twelve events and what each one means you should update. The five-minute rule. If a change takes less than five minutes, do it today. If longer, add it to the Review Checklist sheet with a date. The fire drill. Once a year, sit with your trusted person, in person or by video. Read them eight questions from the Fire Drill sheet ("find our home insurance claims number", "find who to call about the pension") and time them while you stay quiet. Anything over the time limit on Settings, or not found, becomes a fix.

What should be in an in-case-of-emergency file?
Who to call, your medical essentials, who depends on you, and where everything else is: identity documents, accounts, pensions, insurance, property, loans, digital accounts, subscriptions, key contacts and where your will is. The kit's master list covers twelve sections, and the emergency sheet puts the first-hour essentials on one page.
Is this a will or a legal document?
No. The kit is an educational organising tool. It records where things are and what you would like done first, and helps you prepare questions for a lawyer. It does not create a will, power of attorney, nomination or advance directive, and it does not replace a lawyer, notary, financial adviser, tax professional or doctor.
Should I write my passwords in the vault?
No. The kit is built so that no password, PIN or code is ever written on paper or in the spreadsheet. You record where secrets live, and use a password manager's emergency access feature and platform legacy settings to give your trusted person a planned route in.
Does it work outside the UK or US?
Yes. The workbook uses whatever currency label you type, the forms are country-neutral, and the e-book includes dated country notes for India, the UK, the US, Canada, Australia, the UAE, Singapore, South Africa, Nigeria and Kenya, with questions to ask a professional anywhere.
How do I help my ageing parents organise their paperwork?
Start with your own vault, then ask them to help you check it. Make it clear they decide what goes in and the folder stays in their home. The scripts library has words for the common objections, and the 30-day plan breaks the work into short sessions.
How long does it take to set up?
The emergency sheet takes about 25 minutes. The full vault follows a 30-day plan of 20 to 40 minutes a day, provided as a calendar file and a task board import. After that, a yearly review takes about 90 minutes.
Which apps do I need?
Any spreadsheet app that opens Excel files (Excel, Google Sheets, LibreOffice), a PDF reader that fills forms (Acrobat Reader or similar), and a word processor (Word or Google Docs). The calendar and task files import into common calendar and task apps.
Can I measure my starting point?
Yes. Three AssessAll assessments pair well with this kit: Everyday Agreements Assessment: Reading What You Are About to Sign, Personal Data Judgment, and the Everyday Scam and Fraud Resistance Assessment for Consumers. They help you see how you read documents, handle personal data and spot fraud, which are the skills a vault relies on.
How do I make the yearly review actually happen?
Use an if-then plan: 'If it is the first Sunday of November, then I open the vault after breakfast.' The kit's calendar sets the reminders, and Jobulary's guide to if-then plans that make habits stick shows how to turn the review into a habit and a simple development plan for the skills involved.
Can I share the kit with my family?
The licence is for your own household's use, so you can fill it in with your partner and give copies of your completed forms to your trusted person. Please don't share or resell the blank files. For extended families or groups, contact solutions@bodhih.com.
How much does The Life Document Vault cost?
₹999 including 18% GST for buyers in India, or $29 for buyers outside India. One-time payment, no subscription, with an automatic invoice.
How do I get the files after paying?
Instantly. Your download page opens the moment payment succeeds, and a permanent download link is emailed to you. Download each file separately or everything in one ZIP.
What software do I need?
Any of the usual tools: Excel or Google Sheets for spreadsheets, Word or Google Docs for templates, Adobe Acrobat Reader, Preview, Xodo or GoodNotes for the fillable PDFs, and Google, Outlook or Apple Calendar for the calendar plan.
Can I get a refund?
Because it is a digital download, kits are not refundable once downloaded. We always refund a duplicate charge or a failed delivery, and if a file is corrupted and we cannot fix it within 3 working days. Full terms: bodhih.org/refunds.
Can my company buy this for a team?
Yes. Team and company licences, and workshops on this topic run by Bodhih Training, are available. Write to solutions@bodhih.com or call +91 99000 11601.
