The Home Ops Manual gives any household, from a studio flat to a joint family, a simple system: clear areas, agreed standards, one owner per job, a rhythm for recurring work and a binder for the things that live in one person's head.
The Home Ops Manual · Bodhih Pro Kits · 29 by Bodhih Training, trainers to 2,000+ companies since 2008.
Treat your home as a small operation. List its areas, agree what 'done' looks like for each, give every chore one owner, and put cleaning and maintenance on a rhythm. Then record documents and contacts in an emergency binder. The Home Ops Manual kit from Bodhih Training supplies the method and the templates.

One of you thinks the house is a mess; the other thinks it looks fine. Nobody has ever said what 'clean' means or whose job the bins are. Without a standard and an owner, effort never feels like enough.
The dentist reminder, the school form, the gift for Saturday, the fact that you are nearly out of dishwasher tablets. This thinking work is invisible until it fails, and it usually sits with one tired person.
The filter nobody changed, the drain nobody cleared, the warranty that expired last month. Small routine jobs turn into large emergency ones because no calendar holds them.
Policies, accounts, the plumber's number, the main water valve. If the person who knows were unwell for a month, the family would be opening drawers.
Most printable planners give you empty boxes, American assumptions and no instructions. You fill in two pages and the binder goes on a shelf.
Imagine a Tuesday morning a month from now. The school bus leaves at 8.05, and nobody is shouting. The milk is on the list because whoever finished it wrote it down. The permission slip is in the tray by the door, because school paperwork has an owner now.
On Saturday you open the Home Ops Workbook with a cup of tea. The dashboard shows two chores overdue, one maintenance task turning amber and a warranty with 40 days left. You deal with the three, close the laptop, and get on with your weekend. As you notice how little time that took, you may find yourself wondering why you ever kept all of this in your head.
When you fill in the Fairness sheet together, something shifts. The conversation stops being 'you never' and becomes 'the sheet says I'm carrying 62 per cent, shall we trade?'. You hand over whole jobs, not errands, and Sunday night gets quieter.
And somewhere in a drawer, and in an encrypted folder, sits a binder that two people you trust know about. You will probably never need it in a hurry. You will sleep better knowing it is there.
The e-book shows you how. The tools make it happen. Here is exactly what you download.
The guide: methods, worked examples, scripts and exercises
Chore matrix with next-due dates, a fairness score by person, zones rota, maintenance schedule, home inventory, warranties, contacts, utilities tracker, quote scorer, moving plan and a live dashboard.
A 13-page fillable 'if something happens to me' file: people, medical summaries, accounts (no passwords), insurance, home shut-offs, bills, pets and dependants, documents index and a household emergency plan.
One page for the fridge: who is where, meals, zones, what is due, the shopping list and one thing to improve. Fill it in at the 20-minute household meeting.
Two pages that tell a sitter everything: contacts, routines, allergies, house quirks, pets, shut-offs and what to do if.
Five decision questions, a session log with exits and deadlines, and a one-box rule for sentimental items, so clear-outs finish instead of stalling.
An editable agreement for families, couples and flat-shares: areas and standards, owners, money, guests and noise, plus a fair terms sheet for domestic help.
A one-page job brief to send to every supplier, a like-for-like comparison table, questions to ask, a written confirmation message and a sign-off checklist.
An editable week-by-week moving plan from eight weeks out to your first week in the new home, with a first-night box list and an address-change list.
A two-page fridge card: the 15-minute reset, a zone-a-day plan with 'done means' standards, the seasonal list and age-fair chores for children.
Two calendars on one cheat sheet: a four-season temperate plan and a pre-monsoon, monsoon and post-monsoon plan, plus monthly safety checks and typical service intervals.
Laundry-room reference: the four rules of stain removal, 16 common stains with first aid, care-label symbols in words and fabric cautions.
A year of reminders for Google, Outlook or Apple Calendar: 12 monthly maintenance hours, quarterly fairness reviews, seasonal lists for temperate and monsoon climates, inventory and binder reviews.
Ready-made chores with area, kind, typical frequency, minutes and effort weight, including the thinking jobs people forget. Columns match the Chores sheet, so you can paste rows straight in and add an owner.
Each chapter opens with a real situation, gives you a method and ends with something to do today, using the tools in your kit.
Map your areas, write checkable standards and give every job exactly one owner.
Count minutes, not tasks, put the thinking work on the list and agree what fair means for you.
A daily 15, weekly zones and a seasonal list that survive a bad week.
Name every step, including 'put away' and 'plan', so piles stop forming.
Intervals and last-done dates for everything with a filter, seal or drain, in temperate and monsoon versions.
A fast home inventory, warranties, service contacts and a utilities tracker.
Build the 'if something happens to me' file in four short sittings, with no passwords in it.
A household plan, a stay kit and go bags, following your local authority's guidance.
Clear, fair terms for domestic help and a brief-compare-confirm method for tradespeople.
Five decluttering questions, an eight-week moving plan and a one-sheet approach to hosting.
Every outcome is practised with a worked example and a tool, not just described.
People who measure before and after improve faster and can show it. AssessAll, our sister assessment platform, has AI-graded assessments that pair with this kit. Take one now, work through the kit, then re-take it.
A standard is a short, visible description of "done". Not "keep the kitchen clean", which means something different to every person who reads it, but "by 10 p.m.: sink empty, counters wiped, bin bag out if full, floor swept". Four items. A ten-year-old can check it. So can a tired adult. Two rules keep standards from becoming a rod for your own back. First, set them at the level the household can sustain on a bad week, not the level you manage when guests are coming. Second, agree them together. A standard imposed by the person who cares most becomes a daily exam everyone else fails. A standard negotiated at the table becomes "what we decided". Expect to compromise. One of you grew up in a home where floors were mopped daily; the other grew up with a weekly vacuum. Neither is wrong. Pick one, write it down, review it in a month.

You get the e-book and 13 tools: the Home Ops Workbook, a chore library, four fillable PDFs including the 13-page Emergency Binder, three Word templates, three cheat sheets and a calendar file with a year of reminders. Everything downloads at once and is yours to keep.
List every chore, including the planning and remembering jobs, and estimate minutes rather than counting tasks. Agree what share each person should carry given paid work, study and health, then compare that with the actual split and trade whole jobs until the gap is small. The Fairness sheet in the workbook does the arithmetic for you.
Household members and ID locations, medical summaries, a list of accounts without passwords, insurance policies, property papers and home shut-offs, bills and how they are paid, care notes for pets and dependants, and an index of important documents. The kit's Emergency Binder covers all of these and adds a household emergency plan page.
The binder is designed as a map, not a vault. It asks for institution names, account types and last four digits only, and tells you to keep passwords and PINs elsewhere, for example in a password manager with emergency access. Store the filled binder in a locked place and an encrypted folder.
Yes. Amounts are plain numbers so any currency works, seasons are labels you choose, and the maintenance cheat sheet has both temperate and tropical or monsoon calendars. The examples include renters, owners, flat-shares and multi-generation homes in India, the UK, Nigeria, Kenya, the UAE, Australia, the Philippines and the US.
No. The kit is practical, educational content from a training company. Tenancy law, domestic worker rules, insurance terms and emergency guidance differ by country, so check your policy documents, your local authority and a qualified professional where it matters. The binder is not a will or legal document.
It depends on the item: alarms are tested monthly, many filters every few months, and services such as boilers or air conditioners yearly. Follow the manufacturer's manual first. The workbook lets you set an interval for each task and shows what is due soon or overdue.
If you would like a measured baseline for the skills behind running a home, AssessAll offers the Time, Priorities & Focus assessment, the Family & Elder Caregiving Judgment assessment and the Everyday Agreements Assessment: Reading What You Are About to Sign. They pair well with the chore, caregiving and tradesperson chapters.
Attach each routine to something that already happens, such as starting the daily 15 when the dinner plates are cleared. Jobulary's guide to if-then plans explains the technique and helps you turn it into a development plan. The kit's calendar file then keeps the monthly and seasonal jobs in front of you.
The workbook opens in Excel, Google Sheets or LibreOffice; templates in Word or Google Docs; fillable PDFs in Adobe Acrobat Reader or most PDF apps. Digital kits are non-refundable once downloaded, except for corrupted files not fixed within 3 working days, duplicate charges or failed delivery.
₹599 including 18% GST for buyers in India, or $17 for buyers outside India. One-time payment, no subscription, with an automatic invoice.
Instantly. Your download page opens the moment payment succeeds, and a permanent download link is emailed to you. Download each file separately or everything in one ZIP.
Any of the usual tools: Excel or Google Sheets for spreadsheets, Word or Google Docs for templates, Adobe Acrobat Reader, Preview, Xodo or GoodNotes for the fillable PDFs, and Google, Outlook or Apple Calendar for the calendar plan.
