A complete negotiation and influence kit for professionals: a practical e-book, 40 ready-to-use scripts, fillable planners and a calculator that does the maths while you focus on the conversation.
Ask Better, Get More · Bodhih Pro Kits · 10 by Bodhih Training, trainers to 2,000+ companies since 2008.
Prepare before you talk: know what both sides really need, what you will do if there is no deal, and your target and walk-away. Open with questions, anchor with a reason, and trade every concession. Ask Better, Get More from Bodhih Training gives you the method, scripts and planners to do this for salary, deadlines, budgets and deals.

A deadline lands, a client asks for a discount, a manager offers a standard increment, and the word 'okay' comes out before you have thought. Later you rehearse what you should have said.
You build your case, rehearse your best points, and then the conversation goes somewhere else in the first two minutes. Without a map of interests, alternatives and tradeables, there is nowhere to go except giving ground.
You give a little, then a little more, and get nothing back. By the end, you have moved a long way and the other side has barely moved at all.
Your project depends on teams with their own priorities. Reminders get politer and then less polite, and progress gets slower either way.
Imagine it is the Thursday before your pay conversation. Instead of lying awake rehearsing, you open the Raise and Promotion Case Builder and notice how quickly three specific results, each with a number, turn a vague feeling into evidence. You know your target, you know your walk-away, and you have two non-salary options ready if the base is capped.
Now picture the next impossible deadline. A message arrives at 4:45 pm. Rather than typing 'sure, will do', you reach for Script 12, ask one clarifying question, offer two real options and recommend one. Ten minutes later you have a yes and a weekend back.
When the supplier renewal comes in with an increase, you score the alternatives in the Negotiation Calculator, log each round in the Concession Tracker and watch the gap close in smaller and smaller steps, each one traded for something you value. You can see, at a glance, whether their latest offer is inside your walk-away.
And after each conversation, you spend ten minutes with the Post-Negotiation Debrief. Over a few months you start to notice that people are glad to negotiate with you, because you prepare, you listen and you are fair. Whether you start with the planner tonight or the scripts tomorrow morning, the next conversation you have will feel different.
The e-book shows you how. The tools make it happen. Here is exactly what you download.
The guide: methods, worked examples, scripts and exercises
Weighted offer comparison, live concession tracker, tradeables sorter and total-compensation comparison, with a dashboard that names your best option.
Record every negotiation against your target and walk-away, see whether preparation pays off, and tick off daily practice habits.
A fillable 45-minute plan: interests, BATNA, opening-target-walk-away ranges, tradeables, hard questions and your first two sentences.
Build a one-page, evidence-based case for a pay rise or promotion in five layers: market, contribution, scope, forward value and the ask.
A ten-minute review after any negotiation: outcome against plan, concessions given and received, pressure points and one habit to change.
Editable email and spoken scripts for salary, deadlines, budgets, suppliers, clients, influence and tough moments, each with when to use it and why it works.
A one-page template that answers the six questions every approver asks, with options, costs, returns, risks and a clear decision deadline.
A printable one-page reference: the 45-minute prep, ten core moves with exact phrases, and how to close and learn.
Twelve common pressure tactics, how to recognise each and a calm, ethical response you can say word for word.
One short daily exercise for 30 days that builds the asking habit, from small requests to your big conversation and debrief.
Fifty items you can trade or ask for, grouped by negotiation type, to paste into the Tradeables sheet or your planner.
Each chapter opens with a real situation, gives you a method and ends with something to do today, using the tools in your kit.
Why most workplace negotiations happen by accident, and how this kit helps you handle them on purpose.
Separate positions from interests, know your BATNA and walk-away, and check whether a zone of agreement exists.
A 45-minute preparation routine that maps interests, alternatives, ranges, tradeables and your opening line.
When to make the first offer, how to justify an anchor, and how to concede in shrinking, traded steps.
Build an evidence-based case for a raise or promotion and keep the conversation alive when budgets are tight.
Respond to impossible deadlines and scope creep with options and a recommendation instead of a flat no.
Write a one-page budget case that answers the six questions every approver asks, with phasing to make yes easier.
Buy and sell on total value: weighted supplier scoring, trading instead of discounting and protecting relationships.
Gain cooperation from people who don't report to you by paying in the currencies they value.
Adapt to cultural differences without stereotyping and write negotiation emails that land as intended.
Recognise hardball tactics, respond calmly and ethically, and know when to walk away.
Turn negotiation into a habit with debriefs and a 30-day practice plan.
A glossary of key negotiation terms and ten debrief questions to use after every conversation.
Every outcome is practised with a worked example and a tool, not just described.
People who measure before and after improve faster and can show it. AssessAll, our sister assessment platform, has AI-graded assessments that pair with this kit. Take one now, work through the kit, then re-take it.
The most useful idea in modern negotiation is old and simple. Fisher and Ury, in their work on principled negotiation, drew a line between positions (what people say they want) and interests (why they want it). "Cut overtime by a third" is a position. "Show the board lower variable costs before the investor review" is an interest. Positions are usually incompatible. Interests often are not. When two people argue positions, the only moves are giving ground or holding firm. When they explore interests, new options appear: different timing, a different budget line, a trade on something one side values more than the other. Most of the value in a good deal is created here. The test is the question "Why?", asked with genuine curiosity rather than suspicion. "Help me understand what's driving the one-third figure." "What would a good outcome look like for you at the end of the quarter?" "If we solved that, would the rest be flexible?"

Separate the facts from the timing. Ask whether your manager agrees with the evidence about your pay against the market, then ask what could move now if base pay cannot: a written review in six months, a title change, a one-off payment or learning support. Chapter 4 and Scripts 6 to 11 walk you through it.
BATNA stands for Best Alternative To a Negotiated Agreement, a term popularised by Roger Fisher and William Ury. It is what you will actually do if there is no deal. Knowing it tells you your walk-away point and keeps you calm, because you know you have somewhere to go.
Often yes, if you know the market well and can justify your number, because first offers tend to anchor the outcome. If you are unsure of the range, ask questions first. Chapter 3 explains when to go first and how to make an offer that sticks.
Acknowledge the goal, ask one clarifying question about what is really needed, offer two or three options across scope, time and resources, and recommend one. Script 12 gives you an email you can adapt in minutes.
