You priced by looking at the shop down the road and going a little lower. You never charged for your own hours, the gas or the boxes. More orders only make you more tired. The Product costing sheet shows your real cost and what you earn per hour, in about ten minutes.
A forgotten order is the fastest way to lose a customer. When every order sits in one row with a status, a due date, a deposit and a balance, you stop waking at 2 am wondering what you promised.
You know the number, and then you hear yourself offer a discount nobody asked for. A three-part price sentence and twenty ready lines make the money conversation ordinary.
A home has no office walls. Without named working windows and a specific ask for help, you end up working at 10.30 at night and resenting everyone. The time-block planner builds the walls.
Registration, food rules, tax and insurance differ in every country and city. You don't need a law degree. You need five questions and the right office to ask, and a dated checklist gives you both.
Imagine a Sunday evening twelve weeks from now. The children are in bed, your tea is still warm, and you open the Dashboard. Income recorded, what you paid yourself, three open orders for the week, one balance still owed. For the first time you can see the business instead of only feeling tired by it.
It began simply. You opened the Settings sheet and typed what an hour of your time is worth. You filled in one row of Product costing and saw, in grey and white, why the month never added up. Then you changed one price, and as you said it out loud the way Chapter 4 shows, the customer simply said, 'Fine, Saturday please.'
Because every order now lives in one row, you no longer scroll through chats to find what was agreed. Because your policies went out with the price list, the customer who cancels already knows what happens to the deposit. And because the planner is on the fridge, 9.30 to 12 belongs to you, and everyone at home knows it.
Whether you start with the Idea scorecard tonight or the Order book tomorrow morning, the 90-day calendar will keep nudging you forward, twenty or thirty minutes at a time. At the end you answer three honest questions with real numbers in front of you. That is what being the CEO of your own table feels like.
The e-book shows you how. The tools make it happen. Here is exactly what you download.

At 600 rupees, Asha was not making a small profit. She was losing 193 rupees on every cake once the payment fee came off, and the only reason she didn't see it was that she had never charged the business for her own two hours. The sheet's last column makes it painfully clear: at that price she was earning about 53 rupees an hour. She would have had to pay a helper nearly three times that. The sheet then suggests a price. It divides the full cost by what's left after your margin and fees: 775 ÷ (1 - 0.25 - 0.03) gives about 1,076. Asha chose 1,100. At that price the fee is 33, the profit is 292 and the margin is a healthy 26.5 percent. She earns 300 for her two hours and the business keeps 292 for itself.

Start with what you already own and already do well, and sell a small test batch to ten people who are not doing you a favour before you buy anything in bulk. Sort every planned purchase into must have, can wait, or borrow. The kit's Idea scorecard and Start-up costs sheet walk you through both steps.
Add up materials, packaging, your time at an hourly rate, and a share of monthly overheads to get the full cost. Then divide by what is left after your target margin and any platform fee. The Product costing sheet does this for you and shows a suggested price, your margin and what you earn per hour.
Yes. The workbook uses plain numbers with no fixed currency symbol, and the method is the same everywhere. Rules on registration, tax and food safety do differ by place, so the kit gives you five questions to ask and starting points for India, the UK, the US, Nigeria, Kenya and elsewhere, dated October 2026.
No. The kit is educational and practical. It explains concepts such as registration, deposits, records, micro-loans and savings groups, and tells you what to check. For decisions about your own situation, please confirm with your local authority, tax office or a qualified professional.
No, and nobody honest can. What it gives you is a way to test an idea cheaply, price it properly and see real numbers within 90 days, so that you can decide with evidence whether to grow, adjust or stop.
Yes. Tutoring, coaching, beauty, tailoring and classes are covered throughout. The Product costing sheet works for sessions as well as items, the price list has a services layout with missed-session and block-booking terms, and the policies cover advance payment for classes and session blocks.
If you would like an outside measure, AssessAll offers the Small Business Operating Decision Assessment for Shop, Service and Studio Owners, a Business Arithmetic assessment covering percentages, profit and loss and interest, and an Assertive Communication Profile. They are optional, and a helpful way to see where to focus before or after your 90 days.
Use the 90-day launch plan first. After that, a goal-setting method such as WOOP, explained on the Jobulary blog, can help you turn 'grow the business' into a specific wish, outcome, obstacle and plan. Jobulary is also a good place to map the skills you want to build next.
