Situational Leadership Trainer Toolkit by Bodhih Training — built on programmes delivered to 2,000+ companies since 2008.
The workshop is on the calendar. The material isn’t.
A well-known model, taught too lightly
Most leaders have seen the four-quadrant diagram. Few can diagnose a real person on a real task and change their behaviour. You need a design that goes past the model into practice.
Diagnosis is where it falls apart
Telling a D2 from a D3 needs careful exercises on competence and commitment. Building those, plus role plays for each style, is a lot of design work.
The Monday problem
Participants enjoy the session and go back to their default style. Without a team map and a commitment plan, nothing changes.
Picture the evening before your programme.
Picture your participants on Day 1 completing a default style audit and discovering which style they reach for under pressure. Then you walk them through ADAPT — Assess the person and the task before acting, and Diagnose development level on the two dimensions of competence and commitment.
By the afternoon they are diagnosing their own team members, D1 to D4, on priority tasks. They learn to Apply the right style — S1 Directing, S2 Coaching, S3 Supporting, S4 Delegating — and draft a Team Development Map that shows, for the first time, who needs what from them.
On Day 2 they Partner through the four-step situational leadership conversation in role plays, learn to recognise the D2 dip, handle regression and hold the graduation conversation. The case of a coordinator nearly put on a performance plan — who turned out to be a D2 needing coaching — tends to stay with them. Finally they Track progress and finalise their map.
They leave with a 30-day style commitment plan — and you may find yourself noticing how quickly they stop asking 'what's my style?' and start asking 'what does this person need?'

Walk in with data. Walk out with proof.
Trainers who measure before and after design sharper sessions — and get rebooked. AssessAll, our sister assessment platform, has assessments that sit naturally alongside this programme.
Walk in knowing where every participant starts.
Pair Situational Leadership with an AssessAll assessment. Participants take it before the workshop, so you can tune the emphasis to the room; they retake it afterwards, so you can show the client what actually moved. Better-targeted sessions, and evidence that wins the next booking.

The rest of the Bodhih family, when you need it
Make the workshop last beyond the room
A workshop is two days; the behaviour change takes months. Jobulary turns assessment evidence into a focused individual development plan (IDP) — a few quarterly objectives built on real work, re-measured honestly. Give every Situational Leadership participant a plan to carry forward.
IDPs are launching soon — the working demo is free to explore now, no sign-up.

What is the situational leadership model?
Situational leadership, rooted in the work of Hersey and Blanchard, says leaders should match their style to each person's development level on a specific task. What is the ADAPT framework?
ADAPT is the five-step process in this programme for applying situational leadership: Assess the person and task, Diagnose development level, Apply the right style, Partner through the conversation, and Track progress and adjust.
