Quick answer

How do you build a workplace wellbeing programme that works?

Treat wellbeing as a health and safety job. Find psychosocial hazards in how work is organised, team by team, using at least three data sources; test them with the team; assess likelihood and severity; change the work first, then support people, then treat. The Workplace Wellbeing Programme Kit from Bodhih Training gives you every file to do it.

Sound familiar?

You already feel the problem. Here is what it is costing you.

Wellbeing spending that changes nothing

Apps, webinars and wellbeing days are easy to buy and easy to report. If the rota, the workload and the overtime stay the same, people notice, and trust in the next initiative falls.

Data you cannot act on

An engagement score says people are unhappy, not what to change. Absence figures alone can point at two long-term cases and miss the team that is quietly burning out.

Privacy worries that stall everything

Small teams can be identified, health data is sensitive and managers are not clinicians. Without clear rules, HR either reports nothing or reports too much.

Managers who do not know what to say

Some avoid the conversation; others try to diagnose. Neither helps the person, and both carry risk.

Now imagine this

Picture the next few weeks with the kit open beside you.

Picture the first Monday after you open the kit. You read the one-page Start Here map, open the workbook's sample heat map and see what a hotspot looks like when three sources agree. By lunchtime the proposal to your leadership team is sent, with the funding condition that makes the programme real.

Four weeks later, as you open the Heat Map with your own survey results, the teams that need a conversation are clear, and the small teams are already hidden. You walk into the first team conversation with the sheet, the ground rules and the words for the moment someone says 'nothing ever changes'.

When you fill in the risk assessment form with the team's own causes and ideas, the action plan almost writes itself: a work-design control for every high risk, support and treatment alongside, each with an owner, a cost and a measure.

Imagine the board meeting a quarter later. Whether you lead with the dashboard or the same-season comparison, the story is honest: what changed in the work, what the figures show so far, and what is not yet known.

Outcomes

When you have worked through it, you will be able to…

Every outcome is practised with a worked example and a tool, not just described.

  • Run a 28-item work-design survey and combine it with absence, overtime and case data at team level
  • Find hotspots where three sources agree, with every group under 5 people hidden
  • Hold a team risk conversation and write a psychosocial risk assessment with likelihood x severity ratings
  • Build a costed action plan that changes the work first, with support and treatment alongside
  • Equip managers to notice, open a supportive conversation, signpost and escalate without diagnosing
  • Plan a non-clinical return to work with adjustments and an occupational health referral done with consent
  • Report to the board with honest same-season measures
Measure it

Know your starting point. Prove your progress.

People who measure before and after improve faster and can show it. AssessAll, our sister assessment platform, has AI-graded assessments that pair with this kit. Take one now, work through the kit, then re-take it.

A taste of Chapter 8

Ifeoma, one of the picking night leads, noticed in May that a usually chatty picker had gone quiet and made three picking errors in a week. Before the programme, she said later, she would have mentioned the errors at the next huddle. Instead she asked him for ten minutes at the start of a break, in the office, and opened with what she had seen. He said he was sleeping badly and "not coping with the nights". She listened, did not ask about his health, took him off the overtime list for a month, moved him to the new break window and gave him the EAP number. She checked in two weeks later. She recorded only the work changes. (Ifeoma and the picker are composites, written to illustrate the method.)

Questions buyers ask

The Workplace Wellbeing Programme Kit: FAQs

Read the free guideAlready bought? Resend my link

What is a psychosocial risk assessment?

It is a risk assessment for hazards in how work is designed, organised and managed that can harm mental or physical health, such as heavy demands, little control, poor support, conflict, unclear roles and badly handled change. You identify the hazards, decide who could be harmed and how, rate the risk, put controls in place and review them, just as for any other health and safety risk.

How do I find wellbeing hotspots in my organisation?

Use at least three team-level sources: a work-design survey, absence against the site rate, overtime per FTE and case data such as stress-related absence episodes and workload concerns. The kit's heat map counts four signals and calls a team a hotspot when three agree, and hides every group under 5 people.

What are primary, secondary and tertiary wellbeing interventions?

Primary interventions change the work itself, such as staffing for peaks or publishing rotas earlier. Secondary interventions build skills and support around the work, such as manager training. Tertiary interventions help people already affected, such as an EAP or a phased return. The kit starts with primary and keeps the others alongside.

Is this kit aligned to ISO 45003?

It follows the ideas in ISO 45003:2021 and the WHO Guidelines on mental health at work (2022) in its own words: treat psychosocial risk like other health and safety risks, involve workers, change the work first and review. It is not a certification tool and does not reproduce the standard.

Is the kit clinical or legal advice?

No. It is educational and non-clinical. Managers and HR notice, listen, change the work, signpost and escalate; they never diagnose. Duties differ by country, so the kit includes dated law notes and asks you to check your health and safety adviser, HR team, company policy and local law.

How does the kit protect privacy?

A minimum group size of 5 is built into every report: the heat map shows 'Hidden' for any smaller team. No names appear anywhere in the workbooks, health information stays on confidential HR or occupational health files, and the AI prompt pack forbids health data, absence reasons and identifiable comments.

Can I use AI tools in a wellbeing programme?

Yes, within limits. The 25 prompts help adapt survey wording, theme comments a person has already anonymised, draft messages and summarise aggregated results. Every prompt states the limits: approved tools only, no health or identifiable data, no inferring emotions or health, and a person decides every outcome.

Will this work for shift, warehouse or field teams?

Yes. The worked example is a 600-person distribution site with early, late and night shifts, and the survey statements and conversation sheet are written for frontline and office teams alike. Adjust shift names, scheduled days and thresholds on the Settings sheet.

How can I measure my starting point?

To measure your starting point, AssessAll offers related assessments, sold separately: the Work Environment and Job Demands Assessment for your team, the Team Psychological Safety and Speaking-Up Pulse, and Resilience & Stress Management for individuals. Links are on the Start Here map (separate products, not included).

How do I turn this into a development plan for my HR team?

Pick two or three skills the programme stretches, such as facilitating team conversations or reading risk data, and plan how you will practise them. A Jobulary individual development plan, linked on the Start Here map, gives you a structure for it.

How much does The Workplace Wellbeing Programme Kit cost?

₹1,299 including 18% GST for buyers in India, or $34 for buyers outside India. One-time payment, no subscription, with an automatic invoice.

How do I get the files after paying?

Instantly. Your download page opens the moment payment succeeds, and a permanent download link is emailed to you. Download each file separately or everything in one ZIP.

What software do I need?

Any of the usual tools: Excel or Google Sheets for spreadsheets, Word or Google Docs for templates, Adobe Acrobat Reader, Preview, Xodo or GoodNotes for the fillable PDFs, and Google, Outlook or Apple Calendar for the calendar plan.

Can I get a refund?

Because it is a digital download, kits are not refundable once downloaded. We always refund a duplicate charge or a failed delivery, and if a file is corrupted and we cannot fix it within 3 working days. Full terms: bodhih.org/refunds.

Can my company buy this for a team?

Yes. Team and company licences, and workshops on this topic run by Bodhih Training, are available. Write to solutions@bodhih.com or call +91 99000 11601.
