The Wedding Controller gives you the working method of a calm project manager and the tools to run it: one ceiling, one guest list across every event, suppliers compared fairly, payments mapped and the day handed to someone else. Any country, any currency, any tradition.
The Wedding Controller · Bodhih Pro Kits · 23 by Bodhih Training, trainers to 2,000+ companies since 2008.
Fix one budget ceiling from confirmed contributions before booking anything, set aside a reserve, and count guests per event because headcount drives most costs. Then compare three written quotes per supplier, put every instalment on one payment schedule and hand a run sheet to a day-of lead. The Wedding Controller kit from Bodhih Training supplies the method and the workbooks.

The venue deposit is paid, and only now is anyone adding up what the whole thing costs. Every decision since has been made on the back foot, and nobody can say what the real ceiling is.
Parents are inviting people you have never met, an invitation to one person turns into a household, and the caterer has been told three different numbers. Each event has a different crowd and you have one muddled list.
The argument about chairs is not about chairs. It is about who decides what, which nobody has ever said out loud, especially where parents are contributing or two traditions are meeting.
One caterer quotes per plate with staff, another quotes food only. Then five final balances land in the same fortnight, while the money sits in an account with a notice period.
Suppliers ring you during hair and make-up, guests stand about with empty glasses, and the two people who know the plan are the two being photographed.
Picture a Sunday evening three weeks from now. You open the Wedding Master Workbook, and the Dashboard tells you in one glance how many days are left, how much of the ceiling is committed, which payments fall due in the next fortnight and how many replies are still out. The weekly check-in takes twenty minutes. Then you close the laptop and talk about something else.
When a parent asks for thirty more guests, you don't argue. You open the Guest Count Lab, type thirty, and show the number. As you fill in the family charter together, you notice that people relax once they know what is theirs to decide. When the third catering quote arrives, the scorecard tells you what to ask instead of leaving you to guess.
Imagine the final six weeks. Every balance is already on the schedule, the cash is where you can reach it, and the run sheet has been sent to every supplier. Two days before, you hand the printed copy and the emergency kit to your day-of lead and say the sentence the book gives you: on the day, you decide.
And then picture the day itself. Someone puts a plate in front of you because it is their job. A buffer you planned absorbs a late uncle. You look up during the vows. Whether you start with the worksheet for two tonight or the Settings sheet tomorrow, that calm is what you are building.
The e-book shows you how. The tools make it happen. Here is exactly what you download.
The guide: methods, worked examples, scripts and exercises
The control room: settings for any currency and up to six events, budget, per-event guest list and RSVPs, Guest Count Lab, vendor scorecard, payment schedule, seating, gifts, outfits, self-dating tasks and two dashboards.
Minute-by-minute run sheets for three events with self-calculating times, CLASH warnings, owner phone look-up, contacts, Plan B and a readiness dashboard.
Fill in a side each, separately, then compare: your top three, your ceiling and what you will happily skip.
Five one-page question sheets for venue, caterer, photographer, decor and music: tick as you ask, note the answers, score your gut feel.
The packing checklist for the bag your day-of lead carries, plus the one-page contact and custody sheet.
The handover page for the people in charge while you are away, the seven-day close-out and a prompt list for documents.
Sixteen copy-and-edit emails and messages: first enquiry, like-for-like quote request, polite negotiation, booking confirmation, changes, chasing, complaints and thank-yous.
An editable one-page charter that says, for each decision area, who decides, who is consulted and who is informed, plus meeting agenda and scripts.
The whole year on one page, with a compressed column for six months or less.
The costs couples forget, grouped by category, with the question to ask each supplier.
One purpose and one captain per event, guest flow, the legal route abroad and a tipping question card.
Thirty milestones across the year, including five money checks, relative to a wedding on day 365. Import, then drag events to fit your date.
46 budget lines to paste into the Budget sheet, each flagged for whether it grows with guest count and how often it is forgotten.
Each chapter opens with a real situation, gives you a method and ends with something to do today, using the tools in your kit.
Fix a ceiling from confirmed contributions, take a reserve off the top, protect your shared top three and track every line from estimate to paid.
Sort guests into circles, count people instead of invitations, decide attendance per event and test every change against the money.
A family charter that names who decides, who is consulted and who is informed, with scripts for sticky moments and blended traditions.
One brief, three written quotes, a weighted scorecard and a kind way to negotiate by trading scope and convenience.
Seven things to find in every contract, traceable payments, the final-six-weeks cliff and how to handle tipping customs you don't know.
Anchor the year on legal lead times, scarce suppliers, made-to-order items and travel, then let a self-dating task list do the rest.
One purpose and one captain per event, guest flow, currency, and settling the legal route before choosing a destination venue.
A row, an owner and a place for every outfit, heirloom and envelope, and thank-yous within weeks.
Fixed points, honest durations, deliberate buffers and a day-of lead, so that you stop being the controller on the day.
Honeymoon handover, returns, final payments, gifts, thanks and document prompts to check against official local guidance.
Every outcome is practised with a worked example and a tool, not just described.
People who measure before and after improve faster and can show it. AssessAll, our sister assessment platform, has AI-graded assessments that pair with this kit. Take one now, work through the kit, then re-take it.
A run sheet is a table of the day in time order. Each line has a start time, a duration, what happens, where, who owns it and what it needs. That is all. Its power comes from three habits. Fixed points and floating points. A few times cannot move: the registrar's slot, the muhurat, sunset for photographs, the venue's hard finish, the last coach. Everything else floats between them. Mark the fixed points first. Honest durations. Group photographs take longer than anyone thinks, at least three minutes per grouping once you've found the missing uncle. Moving a hundred guests from one room to another takes fifteen minutes. A baraat or a couple's grand entrance runs on its own clock. Ask your suppliers how long things really take. They have seen hundreds of weddings. You have seen a handful.

Start with the quick-start chapter, then the main spreadsheet or planner. Most buyers use something from the kit the same day.
You can start small. Open the worksheet for two tonight, or type your ceiling into Settings tomorrow morning, and you will already have the one number every later decision depends on. Download the kit, agree your number, and let the controls carry the rest.

Yes. The method is culture-neutral and the workbook lets you name up to six events, so it suits a register-office lunch, a three-day wedding with mehendi and sangeet, a traditional plus white wedding, a nikah and walima, a tea ceremony and banquet, or a destination weekend. Examples in the book come from several traditions. You delete what doesn't apply and add your own rituals to the task list.
Add up confirmed contributions only: your savings, what you can save by the date and amounts family have actually stated. That total is your ceiling. Take about 10 percent off as a reserve, each choose your top three priorities, and allocate the rest by category. Chapter 1 and the Settings and Budget sheets walk you through it.
Sort every name into three circles before you count, decide a rule for partners and children instead of case-by-case exceptions, and choose who attends which event. When someone asks for more guests, show the cost in the Guest Count Lab. A number is easier to accept than a no.
Yes. The workbooks use standard formulas with no macros and open in Excel, Google Sheets and LibreOffice. Amounts are plain numbers and you type your currency code in Settings, so rupees, pounds, dollars, naira, dirhams or pesos all work.
Send the same short brief to three suppliers per category, insist on written quotes that state what is included, then score each on price, quality, responsiveness, terms, references and gut feel. The Vendors sheet weights the scores your way and ranks them. If you would like to measure your own supplier judgement and negotiating skill first, AssessAll offers the Procurement & Vendor Management Judgment and Negotiation & Value Creation assessments, and a Commercial Terms and Contract Reading Assessment that suits anyone about to sign several contracts.
No. The kit is educational. Marriage formalities, contracts, consumer rights, tipping customs and name changes differ by country, so the book explains principles and tells you to check official sources or a qualified professional where you live or marry. Nothing in it guarantees a saving or an outcome.
Not at all. Appendix A is a twelve-week plan, and the timeline cheat sheet has a column for six months or less. The task list dates itself from your wedding day, so it will show at once what is urgent.
Use the weekly twenty-minute check-in from Chapter 6 and give every task a named owner. If you want to turn that into a personal goal with a plan for the obstacles, the WOOP method explained on Jobulary is a helpful way to build a simple development plan around it.
You receive the e-book and 13 tools as a download: two workbooks, four fillable PDFs, two Word templates, three cheat sheets, a calendar file and a starter list. Digital kits are non-refundable once downloaded, except for corrupted files not fixed within 3 working days, duplicate charges or failed delivery.
The standard licence is personal, for the buyer's own wedding or family. If you coordinate weddings for clients or want copies for a team, write to solutions@bodhih.com about a team or company licence.
₹1,299 including 18% GST for buyers in India, or $34 for buyers outside India. One-time payment, no subscription, with an automatic invoice.
