Seven Streams is an honest method and a set of working tools for choosing, testing and managing income streams. No beach videos, no income promises: every stream costs time, money or risk, and this kit shows you which, before you commit.
Seven Streams · Bodhih Pro Kits · 67 by Bodhih Training, trainers to 2,000+ companies since 2008.
Start by measuring how much of your household depends on one source. Score your ideas on time, capital, skill fit, risk and scalability, test the best one for 30 days with a written success line, check your contract and set tax aside, then add streams one at a time. The Seven Streams kit from Bodhih Training gives you the method and the tools.

If your employer restructures or your main client leaves, the household income stops in a single meeting. You know it is fragile, but you have never put a number on how fragile.
Tutoring, templates, a rental, a franchise. Each looks like the answer for nine minutes. Without the same five questions asked of every idea, the loudest video wins.
Late-night customer emails, a cancelled gym class, a tax bill nobody set money aside for. Income went up, and so did everything else.
Many employment contracts restrict outside work. Finding out after you have earned is the expensive way to learn.
Guaranteed returns, secret systems, mentors whose real business is the course. It is hard to tell a poor-value offer from an outright scam.
Picture a Sunday evening a few weeks from now. You open the Seven Streams Workbook, and the Scorecard sheet has ranked your six ideas from best fit to worst. The one you had been daydreaming about is fourth. The one you nearly ignored is first, with a plain verdict beside it: Test first. You notice that the decision feels lighter when the numbers have done the arguing.
As you write your smallest sellable offer and set a success line, the next thirty days take shape. The calendar file has already placed a short prompt in your diary for each day, so you simply do the next small thing. By the time you fill in the end date on the Experiment Log, the sheet tells you whether to continue, adjust or stop, and you find you agree with it.
Now imagine the end of your first quarter. Your Portfolio sheet shows what each stream pays per hour against the floor you chose. Your tax pot holds what it should. Your contract is checked and your manager knows what they need to know. One sticky note on your desk shows the share of your essentials that would still be covered if your main job stopped, and the number is higher than it was.
Whether you begin with the worksheet tonight or the scorecard at the weekend, you will be building something patient and real: fewer streams than the internet promised, chosen better, and yours.
The e-book shows you how. The tools make it happen. Here is exactly what you download.
The guide: methods, worked examples, scripts and exercises
Weighted idea scorecard with ranking, stream portfolio with return per hour and a what-if-it-stops test, income log with 12-month view, time budget, tax pot, experiment log with stop or continue rule, five-year plan and two dashboards. Any currency.
Four inventories (skills, assets, time, risk) that boil down to one filter sentence for choosing streams that fit your life.
A four-week plan for testing one stream idea cheaply: offer, ask, deliver, decide, with a success line and stop or continue rule set in advance.
A 45-minute review, four times a year: numbers, energy, rules and a keep, fix, pause or close decision for every stream.
An editable playbook for each of the eight stream types: how it works, costs, risks, honest timeline, first steps, a 30-day test, checks and stop signals.
A contract check plus three editable letters: request for approval, courtesy disclosure and conflict-of-interest declaration.
One-page comparison of all eight stream types: cost, capital, timeline, risk and scalability, plus which to look at first for your situation.
Ten common claims set against what is usually true, and the hidden hours behind 'passive' streams.
Twelve warning signs, a five-question check before paying anyone, and what to do if something has gone wrong.
Dated examples of savings accounts, extra-income rules and where to verify them, plus five things to find in any country.
Thirty short daily prompts that take one idea from inventory to a stop or continue decision, plus four 45-minute quarterly reviews. Import into Google, Outlook or Apple Calendar.
Sixty realistic ideas across all eight stream types with capital, time and a caution for each. Sort, filter and paste your favourites into the Scorecard.
Each chapter opens with a real situation, gives you a method and ends with something to do today, using the tools in your kit.
Why a second source of income is a sensible goal, and why seven is a menu, not a target.
What a stream is, the three costs every stream carries, and how to measure how fragile your income is today.
Career growth, skill services, teaching and content, and digital products: how each works, what it costs and a first step.
Rental, dividends and interest, business ownership and royalties, with honest timelines and risks.
Four inventories (skills, assets, time, risk) that produce one filter sentence for your life.
A weighted five-criteria scorecard that ranks your ideas and argues with your mood.
The four-week test with a success line set in advance and a stop, adjust or continue rule.
Moonlighting clauses, disclosure letters and the tax pot habit that prevents nasty surprises.
Return per hour against your own floor, energy as the fourth cost, and how to cut hours with systems and delegation.
Five signals that a stream should close, how to close it well, and the red flags of easy-money schemes.
Stages, a common five-year shape, and planning in ranges instead of promises.
The short version of the method and where to start this week.
Dated examples of savings accounts and extra-income rules, with where to verify them.
Every term in the kit explained in a sentence.
Every outcome is practised with a worked example and a tool, not just described.
People who measure before and after improve faster and can show it. AssessAll, our sister assessment platform, has AI-graded assessments that pair with this kit. Take one now, work through the kit, then re-take it.
Let me say the unfashionable part first. There is no free stream. Every source of income costs you at least one of three things: time, money or risk. Tutoring costs evenings. A rental flat costs capital and brings a boiler that breaks on a Sunday. A dividend fund costs savings you could have spent, and its value can fall. The beach video leaves those costs out. We are going to put them back in, because once you can see the cost you can choose well. The title says seven, and I should be honest about that too. Seven is a nice number for a book cover. It is not a target. For most people with a job and a family, two or three well-chosen streams, sequenced over several years, beat seven half-built ones. Think of the title as the menu, not the order.

Start with the quick-start chapter, then the main spreadsheet or planner. Most buyers use something from the kit the same day.
You can keep collecting ideas, or you can open the workbook and let the scorecard rank the ones you already have. Whether you start with the Stream Fit Worksheet tonight or the Time Budget on Saturday morning, the first honest number will change how you see the rest.

Begin with the stream you have: push your career income and build an emergency fund. Then score a handful of ideas against your real free hours, test the best one for 30 days, and only build it up if strangers pay. Add the next stream when the first runs on checklists. The kit walks you through each step with tools.
The kit uses eight: career income growth, skill services, teaching and content, digital products, rental of property or equipment, dividends and interest, business ownership, and royalties and licensing. The first four grow from skills and cost mostly time. The second four grow from assets and put capital at risk.
Lower-hours income is real. Zero-effort income mostly is not. Asset streams need capital, carry the risk of loss and still need managing. The Passive Income Myths cheat sheet sets ten common claims beside what is usually true.
No. The kit is educational. It recommends no product, fund, share or platform and makes no promise about income or returns. Investments can fall as well as rise and past performance does not predict the future. For personal recommendations, tax or legal questions, please see a qualified or registered adviser and check your local rules.
Yes. Amounts carry no currency symbol, and the floor rate, tax set-aside rate, essential costs and scorecard weights are your own entries on the Settings sheet. The country notes give dated examples for India, the UK and the US, with reminders to verify because rules change.
It depends on your contract, sector and country. Many contracts require disclosure or permission for outside work, and some forbid it. Chapter 7 shows what to search for, and the letter templates give you a request for approval, a courtesy disclosure and a conflict-of-interest declaration. If in doubt, ask HR or a qualified adviser.
Reading takes about two and a half hours. Setting up the workbook takes an evening. The 30-day test is designed for people with five to eight spare hours a week, and the Time Budget sheet helps you find out what you really have before you commit.
Three AssessAll assessments pair well with this kit: Business and Commercial Acumen, Decision-Making Under Uncertainty, and the Everyday Scam and Fraud Resistance Assessment for Consumers. They show where your judgement is already strong and where a scheme or a poor idea might catch you out.
Use the Five-Year Plan sheet for the sequence and the calendar file for the daily prompts. For the goal itself, the Jobulary article on the WOOP method for professional goals is a good companion: name the wish, the outcome, the obstacle and the plan, then run your 30-day test.
