The Household Money Hub gives couples and families one picture of the money: a plan for every paycheque, funds for the lumpy bills, a calendar for the dates, a fair way to share costs and a short monthly meeting that keeps it all alive. Any currency, any country.
The Household Money Hub · Bodhih Pro Kits · 22 by Bodhih Training, trainers to 2,000+ companies since 2008.
Build one shared picture of income and spending, plan each paycheque, balance the budget to zero, set aside monthly sinking funds for annual bills, put every due date on a bill calendar, agree a fair split and review it all in a 20-minute monthly meeting. The Household Money Hub kit from Bodhih Training supplies the workbook and worksheets for each step.

Car insurance, festival season, school fees and the holiday arrive every year, and every year they land on a credit card. Without sinking funds, a household that earns enough still lurches from one lump to the next.
Two banking apps, a card app, a notes file and a half-finished spreadsheet. When the money lives in seven windows and one person's head, every decision becomes a guess and every guess becomes an argument.
Fifty-fifty made sense when you met. Then incomes changed, a child arrived or one of you went part-time, and now one partner is comfortable while the other is counting days to payday.
Forty categories, daily logging and no room for a birthday dinner. Most budget templates are blank grids with no method behind them, so they break the first time real life turns up.
Charges nobody remembers agreeing to, and penalties on bills you had the money for. These are date problems and attention problems, and both have simple fixes.
Imagine the first Saturday of next month. Coffee on the table, one laptop, the Dashboard open. Income, planned, actual, left to assign: zero. You both look at the same four numbers and, perhaps for the first time, neither of you is guessing.
Because when you fill in the Sinking Funds sheet this week, the car insurance stops being an ambush and becomes a line with money already beside it. As you type each due day into the Bill Calendar, you can feel forty things to remember turning into one thing to look at. The subscription audit takes forty minutes and you will probably find something you forgot you were paying for.
Then picture the conversation you have been avoiding. You each complete the Money Values Conversation alone, swap pages and write one sentence together: for us, fair means... The Fair Split sheet turns that sentence into numbers, and the argument about who pays for what quietly loses its fuel.
Twenty minutes later you close the laptop. Wins named, three small decisions made, next meeting in the calendar. Whether you begin with the workbook tonight or the values conversation at the weekend, you will notice the same thing: knowing is quieter than guessing.
The e-book shows you how. The tools make it happen. Here is exactly what you download.
The guide: methods, worked examples, scripts and exercises
The household operating system in one file: settings with your currency, income by pay rhythm, zero-based budget with automatic actuals, sinking funds, bill calendar, subscription audit, debt payoff, fair split, net worth and a live dashboard.
The twelve-month view: income by month, the year plan with every lumpy bill in the month it lands, year actuals, a month-by-month surplus check, an annual bills map and a dashboard.
Four what-if tools: an option scorecard that ranks big household choices by your own weighted criteria, a runway simulator for income shocks, an extra payment lab for debt, and a paycheque planner that finds your bonus paycheques.
A fillable two-page agenda for the 20-minute meeting: wins, review, look ahead, decide, close, with space for decisions and actions.
A fillable hunt-annualise-test-decide worksheet for every subscription in the house, with a cancellation tracker.
A fillable three-page guided conversation: your money story, what fair means, shared goals and house rules. Each partner completes page one alone.
A fillable 'if I'm not here' record of accounts, bills, policies, contacts and renewal dates, so either adult can run the household alone if needed. No passwords.
26 editable scripts for phone, chat and email: ask for a better price, move a due date, cancel a subscription, refuse a retention offer, query a charge, ask for hardship help and split bills fairly at home.
The formula, a prompt list of 30 lumpy bills, set-up steps, a worked example and the common mistakes, on two pages.
Equal, proportional, equal leftover and by category, with the same household worked through all four, plus account structures and the questions to agree first.
What children can understand at each stage, a real job to give them in the household system, conversation starters and what to avoid.
Thirty short daily steps that build the whole system in a month. Import into Google Calendar, Outlook or Apple Calendar, then drag the first event to your start date.
Twelve first-Saturday money meetings, each with a focus, twelve mid-month bill reviews and four quarterly subscription reviews for 2027.
61 common household categories with a suggested type and essential flag, ready to copy into the Budget sheet.
Each chapter opens with a real situation, gives you a method and ends with something to do today, using the tools in your kit.
Build one shared picture of income, the five pots, debts and what you own, in a single sitting.
Plan by paycheque for monthly, biweekly and irregular incomes, with a baseline and a job for every bonus paycheque.
Fill a zero-based budget in four passes, then use planned, actual and variance without the guilt.
Turn annual bills, festivals, school fees and holidays into small monthly steps with one formula.
Put every due date on one sheet and run the hunt, annualise, test, decide subscription audit.
Choose joint, separate or hybrid accounts and one of four fair-split methods, starting from what fair means to you.
Run the five-part agenda that keeps the whole system alive: wins, review, look ahead, decide, close.
Pick avalanche, snowball or a hybrid, read payoff months from the workbook and roll payments forward.
Climb the three-rung buffer ladder and test income shocks with the runway simulator.
Give children a small, real job inside the household system, by age.
Every outcome is practised with a worked example and a tool, not just described.
People who measure before and after improve faster and can show it. AssessAll, our sister assessment platform, has AI-graded assessments that pair with this kit. Take one now, work through the kit, then re-take it.
A sinking fund is money you set aside in small, regular amounts for a cost you know is coming. Not an emergency: a certainty with a date. The annual insurance premium. Festivals and birthdays. School fees, uniforms and trips. The car service and the tyres. The holiday. The boiler that will one day stop boiling. The arithmetic could not be simpler: take what you still need, divide by the months you have left, and move that amount every month. A 780 insurance bill is a crisis. Sixty-five a month is a rounding error. They are the same bill. A sinking fund is different from your emergency buffer, and keeping them apart matters. The buffer is for things you could not predict. If you use it for the car insurance, it is empty when the car breaks down.

An e-book of about 9,100 words and 14 tools: three spreadsheets (the Household Money Hub, the Annual Budget Overview and the Money Decision Lab), four fillable PDF worksheets, a Word file of 26 scripts, three cheat sheets, a category starter list and two calendar files. Every workbook arrives with sample data and a Start here sheet.
Yes. Amounts are plain numbers and you type your own currency symbol once on the Settings sheet. The method does not rely on any one country's tax or banking rules, and the examples come from India, the UK, the US, Nigeria, Kenya, the UAE, the Philippines and Australia. Where rules differ, such as joint account liability, the book tells you to check locally.
Build the monthly plan on two paycheques, so the two months with three paydays give you a bonus paycheque with a job decided in advance. For irregular income, plan on a baseline, a low but typical month, and move anything above it into a smoothing pot. The Income sheet and the Paycheque Planner do the sums.
A sinking fund is money set aside monthly for a known, non-monthly cost such as insurance, festivals or school fees. The amount is the target minus what you have saved, divided by the months left. The Sinking Funds sheet calculates this for every fund and totals what the household needs each month.
There are four common methods: equal, proportional to income, equal leftover and by category. When incomes differ, proportional or equal leftover can feel fairer than fifty-fifty. The kit asks you to agree what fair means first, then the Fair Split sheet calculates each person's share.
No. The kit is educational. It teaches general household money management methods and does not recommend financial products or take account of your personal circumstances, tax position or local law. For decisions about debt problems, insurance, pensions, investments or legal ownership, please speak to a qualified professional or an official money guidance service in your country.
Three AssessAll assessments pair well with this kit: Money Decision Judgment for everyday money choices, Business Arithmetic (percentages, profit and loss, interest) for the number skills behind budgeting and debt, and the Everyday Agreements Assessment for reading contracts before you sign. Take one before you start and again after three monthly meetings.
Use the 30-Day Hub Set-up Plan calendar for the build, then the twelve monthly meetings. For goals that keep slipping, the WOOP method explained on the Jobulary blog (wish, outcome, obstacle, plan) works well alongside the Decide section of the meeting agenda.
The workbooks are standard XLSX files with ordinary formulas, no macros and no add-ins. They open in Excel, Google Sheets and LibreOffice Calc. Fillable PDFs work in Adobe Acrobat Reader and most PDF apps, and the calendar files import into Google Calendar, Outlook and Apple Calendar.
Digital kits are non-refundable once downloaded. The exceptions are a corrupted file that we cannot fix within 3 working days, a duplicate charge or a failed delivery. Write to solutions@bodhih.com and we will put it right.
