You already feel the problem. Here is what it is costing you.
The dates live in five places
The family chat, a school letter, a work calendar and somebody's memory. Some festivals move with the moon or local calendars, and nobody is sure which day this year.
The money leaks
No single purchase feels big, but gifts, food, clothes, travel, decorations and giving add up across weeks. January brings the total.
One person carries it
The noticing, planning, booking and remembering fall on the same person every year, even when everyone helps on the day.
Guests arrive with needs nobody asked about
A nut allergy, a walking frame, a guest who does not drink, a cousin who is vegetarian. Discovered at the door instead of at the invitation.
Picture the next few weeks with the kit open beside you.
Imagine the last week of August. You open the Festival Season Workbook, set the festivals you are planning to Yes, and watch every countdown and timeline fill in. The dates are checked, the sources are named, and the ones that depend on the moon are marked so you can confirm them with your community.
As you agree the season budget with everyone who spends, you notice something useful: the conversation is calmer when it happens in August than when it happens at the till in December. You split the total into jars, keep a buffer, and set gift limits before a single name goes on the list.
Picture the evening of your open house. The run sheet has a name in every slot. Every dish has a label. Your oldest guest has a chair with arms near the door, and the child with the nut allergy knows which table is theirs. Somebody else owns the leftovers and the 2-hour clock.
And two weeks later, when you sit down with the After-Season Review, you will find that next year has already started: the decorations inventory is done, three first actions have owners, and the monthly saving is set. Whether you begin with the workbook tonight or the Season Plan at the weekend, the season starts lighter.

Some festivals sit on fixed dates. Christmas is 25 December for most Western churches, though many Orthodox churches celebrate on 7 January. Many others follow lunar or lunisolar calendars, so their Gregorian dates shift each year. Islamic months begin with the sighting of the new crescent moon, so Eid can move by a day depending on where you live and which announcement your community follows. Hindu festivals follow local panchang calendars, which is why Diwali in 2027 falls on 29 October in New Delhi while Singapore's Ministry of Manpower lists its Deepavali public holiday on 28 October. Neither is wrong. They are calculated for different places. So the method is simple: start with a checked date, write down where it came from, then confirm it with your own community.

The Festival Season Planner: FAQs
Read the free guideAlready bought? Resend my linkWhich festivals does the kit cover?
Diwali, Eid al-Fitr and Eid al-Adha, Christmas, Lunar New Year, Hanukkah, Navratri and Durga Puja, and the harvest festivals Onam and Pongal, plus a blank edition for your own tradition. The core method works for any celebration.
Are the 2027 festival dates accurate?
They were checked in October 2026 against published calendars and official holiday lists, and every source is named. Islamic dates depend on moon sighting and may move by a day, and Hindu dates can differ by region and country. Confirm with your community and type your date into the Editions sheet; every timeline updates itself.
Does the kit tell me how to perform religious customs?
No. It describes customs as examples that many families choose and says plainly that customs vary by family, community and region. For anything about religious practice, ask your own family, community or place of worship.
How do I make a festival budget?
Agree one season total with everyone who spends, split it into categories such as gifts, food, clothes, travel, decorations and giving, keep a buffer, and track actual spending weekly. When a category runs low, move money or cut rather than adding new money. The Budget and Budget Summary sheets do the arithmetic.
How do I cook safely for a large festival gathering?
Keep clean, separate raw and cooked food, cook thoroughly, keep hot food hot and cold food cold, and get perishable food into the fridge within 2 hours. Make dry and frozen dishes ahead and cook perishable dishes late. The Food Prep Schedule and the Menu and Prep sheet walk you through it, based on WHO and USDA guidance.
We are a mixed-faith family. Will this help?
Yes. Chapter 9 and the Inclusive Celebrations Guide give you five principles, a season conversation, answers for children's questions and ideas for clashes, such as Hanukkah beginning on Christmas Eve in 2027.
Does it work in my country and currency?
Yes. Type your currency symbol on the Settings sheet; the sums work in any currency. Country-specific notes on public holidays, leave, fireworks and food safety are in a dated appendix, with the official source to check.
How can I measure my starting point?
If you want to see how strong your planning, money decisions and time management are before the season, AssessAll offers the Plan Strength Assessment with an Eight-Week Re-Measure, Money Decision Judgment and Time, Priorities and Focus assessments. Take one before you start and again after the season.
How do I turn this into a development plan?
Use the After-Season Review to choose three first actions for next year, then set a fresh-start date. Jobulary has a short guide on using the fresh-start effect to reset a goal, which pairs well with the review.
Is this financial, legal or food safety advice?
No. The kit is educational. It does not replace advice from a qualified professional, your employer or school policies, local law or your national food safety body. If festival spending would mean debt, talk to a free, regulated debt advice service in your country.
How much does The Festival Season Planner cost?
₹799 including 18% GST for buyers in India, or $24 for buyers outside India. One-time payment, no subscription, with an automatic invoice.
How do I get the files after paying?
Instantly. Your download page opens the moment payment succeeds, and a permanent download link is emailed to you. Download each file separately or everything in one ZIP.
What software do I need?
Any of the usual tools: Excel or Google Sheets for spreadsheets, Word or Google Docs for templates, Adobe Acrobat Reader, Preview, Xodo or GoodNotes for the fillable PDFs, and Google, Outlook or Apple Calendar for the calendar plan.
Can I get a refund?
Because it is a digital download, kits are not refundable once downloaded. We always refund a duplicate charge or a failed delivery, and if a file is corrupted and we cannot fix it within 3 working days. Full terms: bodhih.org/refunds.
Can my company buy this for a team?
Yes. Team and company licences, and workshops on this topic run by Bodhih Training, are available. Write to solutions@bodhih.com or call +91 99000 11601.
