The Facilitator's Workbook Kit gives trainers, coaches and L&D teams a clear method and the editable tools to use it: from the first needs conversation to the 90-day check-in.
The Facilitator's Workbook Kit · Bodhih Pro Kits · 09 by Bodhih Training, trainers to 2,000+ companies since 2008.
You need four things: a needs analysis that finds the real performance gap, observable learning objectives, a timed session plan that protects practice time, and an evaluation plan agreed before you start. The Facilitator's Workbook Kit from Bodhih Training gives you the method and editable templates for each step, plus coaching and follow-up tools.

A sponsor asks for 'communication skills' and you deliver a lovely workshop. Two months later nothing has changed, because the real issue was a broken handover process. A short needs analysis would have caught it.
The first exercise overruns, the practice slot shrinks to eighteen minutes, and the feedback says 'we needed more practice'. Without a timed plan marked core and flex, you cut the wrong thing.
When the director asks whether the programme worked, you have attendance numbers and a 4.3 out of 5. You know it helped, but you cannot show behaviour change or business results.
Slides and the odd handout work in the room, but they do not impress a buyer or help people after the session. A proper participant workbook takes days to build from scratch.
Imagine the next request landing in your inbox. Instead of reaching for an old outline, you open the Training Needs Analysis Questionnaire, book two fifteen-minute calls and, by Thursday, you know exactly what the sponsor needs and what training cannot fix. You send a one-page needs summary and the sponsor replies, 'This is the first time anyone has asked.'
As you build the session, you notice how quickly the Session Plan comes together. Objectives written with observable verbs suggest their own activities. Practice blocks sit in the strongest slots, marked core. When the client moves the finish time an hour earlier, you simply draw a line through two flex blocks and walk in calm.
On the day, the participant workbook does half the work. People write, compare, practise in trios with the observer checklist, and leave with a when-then action plan in their own handwriting. That evening you spend ten minutes on the Facilitator Self-Reflection and drop the feedback averages into the L&D Programme Tracker.
Now picture the quarterly review. Someone asks, 'Did it work?' You open the dashboard: attendance, feedback, which programmes have Level 3 and Level 4 evidence, how many actions have been applied at work. Whether you start with the session plan tonight or the tracker tomorrow morning, each tool you use makes the next session easier.
The e-book shows you how. The tools make it happen. Here is exactly what you download.

People who measure before and after improve faster and can show it. AssessAll, our sister assessment platform, has AI-graded assessments that pair with this kit. Take one now, work through the kit, then re-take it.
Jake in Ohio was twenty minutes into a compliance workshop when a man in the back row folded his arms and said, loudly, "We did all this last year. Nothing changed. Why are we wasting a morning on it again?" Several heads nodded. Jake felt his face go hot. He had a choice in that second, and the choice would shape the rest of the morning. Every facilitator meets this moment: the cynic, the dominator, the side-conversation pair, the expert who wants to show they know more than you. These behaviours are usually signals about something real: workload, past experiences, fear, status, or a genuine flaw in the training. The most useful shift is to treat difficult behaviour as information rather than an attack. The man in the back row was telling Jake something true. If Jake argued, he would lose the room. If he ignored it, he would lose it more slowly. If he used it, he could win the room.

Yes. The Word templates are designed to be rebranded. Replace the logo placeholder and change the heading colours once in Styles, and every heading updates. You may use your rebranded versions with your own participants and clients.
Fix the start, finish and breaks first, then place your core practice activities in the strongest time slots. Wrap each objective in a connect, concept, practice and reflect cycle, mark every block core or flex, and add a few minutes of buffer per ninety minutes. The Session Plan template and Chapter 3 walk you through it.
GROW is a widely used coaching structure associated with Sir John Whitmore and colleagues. It stands for Goal, Reality, Options and Will (or Way forward). The kit includes a GROW worksheet and 100 original coaching questions organised by stage.
Plan evaluation before the training runs. Donald Kirkpatrick's four levels (reaction, learning, behaviour and results) are a practical frame: agree the business result first, then the behaviours, learning and reaction evidence that support it. The L&D Programme Tracker records evidence at each level and shows it on a dashboard.
Treat the behaviour as information and respond at the lightest level that works: small in-the-moment moves first, then a respectful comment in the room, then a private word at the break. When someone challenges you openly, acknowledge, explore and redirect. Chapter 5 includes scripts and a field guide.
Yes. The workbook uses standard formulas (no macros), so it opens in Excel and Google Sheets. Drop-downs, calculated columns and the dashboard metrics all carry across.
Bodhih's sister platform AssessAll offers three relevant assessments: Training Facilitation and Group Handling, Lesson Design and Questioning Technique, and Training Evaluation and Programme Effectiveness. Taking one before and after you use the kit gives you an honest picture of progress.
Use the Facilitator Self-Reflection form to pick one skill at a time, then build a plan around real practice, feedback and a little formal learning. Jobulary explains the 70-20-10 model, which is a useful way to shape that plan, and helps you keep development goals in one place.
Yes. Chapter 7 covers virtual and hybrid facilitation, including a tech checklist and ways to keep remote participants involved, and the energisers cheat sheet includes online versions.
