The Video Production Kit · Bodhih Pro Kits · 281 by Bodhih Training, trainers to 2,000+ companies since 2008.
How do I run a video production from brief to delivery?
Work in eight steps: a signed brief, a treatment with a line-by-line estimate, script and shot list, pre-production with releases and a risk assessment, a shoot with a call sheet and verified backups, review rounds with change control, a deliverables matrix, and a job close on estimate versus actual. The Video Production Kit from Bodhih Training gives you a file for every step.

You already feel the problem. Here is what it is costing you.
Estimates that leak
A price given on the phone forgets the second camera, the captions and the drives. By delivery the margin has gone and nobody can say where.
Review rounds without end
Four people send notes that contradict each other, a new product appears at the fine cut, and the third round becomes a favour you can't afford.
Paperwork that lives in your head
Releases, location permissions, licence end dates and which card has been copied are all memory. It works until two things go wrong on the same day.
Seven versions, one tired editor
Hero film, cut-downs, vertical, square, captions, loudness: delivery day turns into chaos without a matrix and a quality check.
Picture the next few weeks with the kit open beside you.
Imagine the next enquiry arriving on a Monday. You open the brief form, ask the eight questions, and by lunchtime the client has signed a brief that says what the film is for, who approves it and when it must launch.
On Wednesday you build the estimate on the Budget sheet, line by line, and watch the price appear with markup and contingency from your own Settings. You send the treatment and the estimate as one PDF, and the client approves the idea and the number together.
As you plan the shoot, the Crew sheet tells you who is ready and who needs chasing, the Call Sheet tab fills itself, and the data wrangling card sits in the kit bag. Whether you start with the workbook tonight or the brief form tomorrow, every step has a file waiting.
Then picture the review rounds: the client already has your review guide, the notes arrive as one list, and the round beyond the agreed number becomes a change request before it becomes work. When the job closes, Estimate vs Actual shows you what to change next time.

A taste of Chapter 6
Most review pain comes from three causes: notes from several people that contradict each other, notes that arrive late, and notes that are really new requests. Fix all three before the first cut goes out. Send the Client-Review-and-Feedback-Guide.docx with the first review link (message 32). It explains what a round is: one combined list of time-coded notes, from one person, by an agreed date. It tells the client what to look at in each version, so nobody spends the rough cut debating a typo. And it explains change requests in friendly language before anyone needs one. Use a review tool that lets clients leave notes at a timecode. Many editing and file-sharing platforms now do this, and plain time-coded lists in an email still work.
The honest comparison
| Free templates and typical advice | This kit | |
|---|---|---|
| Estimate | A blank budget template with no categories or formulas | An estimate builder with markup by line type, contingency, tax placeholder and estimate vs actual |
| Shoot paperwork | A call sheet PDF to copy by hand | A call sheet that fills itself from the workbook, plus a Word version and a wall poster |
| Reviews | Advice to 'limit revisions' | A client review guide, a round counter that flags change requests, and sign-off forms |
| Rights | A generic release with no tracking | Release starters with AI opt-ins, plus registers that warn before usage and licences end |
| Data | Nothing | A media log that says DO NOT FORMAT until three verified copies exist |
| Method | Templates only | An e-book that follows one job from brief to margin with the same numbers as the workbook |

How do I budget a video production?
List every day of work first, then fill the same eight categories every time: pre-production, crew, equipment, locations, talent, music and stock, post-production and expenses. Add your markup, show contingency as its own line and add tax. The Budget and Estimate vs Actual sheets do the arithmetic from your Settings.
What is a call sheet and what goes on it?
A call sheet is the one-page plan for a shoot day: call times, location and parking, the nearest hospital, weather, safety lead, contacts, crew, schedule and data notes. The kit gives you a workbook tab that fills itself, a Word template and a wall poster.
How many review rounds should a video include?
There is no single right number. Many producers include two rounds per film and quote further rounds as change requests. Choose your number, put it on Settings and in your terms, and send the client review guide before the first cut.
Are the release forms legally valid?
No template is legally valid everywhere. The release starter and the terms discussion sheet are plain-words starting points for your lawyer to adapt to your country. Image rights, children, data protection and copyright rules differ by country.
Can I use this with my team and freelancers?
Yes. Under the personal licence you can use the kit within your own business with your staff, freelancers and clients. Company, multi-site and agency licences are available from solutions@bodhih.com.
Does it work in my country?
The method works anywhere and the workbook runs in any currency with your own tax placeholder. The dated notes sheet covers drones, permits, children, music, accessibility and AI disclosure with examples from the UK, US, India, the EU and others, and tells you what to check locally.
Does it cover AI tools?
Yes. Chapter 9 and the 27-prompt AI pack show where AI helps (drafting, transcription, captions, planning), where a person must decide, and the consent and disclosure rules for synthetic voices and likeness. Prompts are tool-agnostic.
How do I measure my starting point?
AssessAll's Project and Delivery Leadership, Commercial Terms and Contract Reading, and Innovation and Creative Problem Solving assessments show where your production, contract and creative skills stand today. They are separate products on assessall.com.
How do I turn this into a development plan?
Use a Jobulary development plan to turn your assessment results and the kit's chapters into dated steps for you or your team. See jobulary.com/how-it-works.
Do I need special software?
No. The workbooks open in Excel, Google Sheets or LibreOffice, the forms in any form-friendly PDF reader, and the templates in Word or Google Docs. The calendar imports into Google, Outlook or Apple Calendar.
How much does The Video Production Kit cost?
₹999 including 18% GST for buyers in India, or $29 for buyers outside India. One-time payment, no subscription, with an automatic invoice.
How do I get the files after paying?
Instantly. Your download page opens the moment payment succeeds, and a permanent download link is emailed to you. Download each file separately or everything in one ZIP.
What software do I need?
Any of the usual tools: Excel or Google Sheets for spreadsheets, Word or Google Docs for templates, Adobe Acrobat Reader, Preview, Xodo or GoodNotes for the fillable PDFs, and Google, Outlook or Apple Calendar for the calendar plan.
Can I get a refund?
Because it is a digital download, kits are not refundable once downloaded. We always refund a duplicate charge or a failed delivery, and if a file is corrupted and we cannot fix it within 3 working days. Full terms: bodhih.org/refunds.
Can my company buy this for a team?
Yes. Team and company licences, and workshops on this topic run by Bodhih Training, are available. Write to solutions@bodhih.com or call +91 99000 11601.
