Quick answer

How do you fill and run a paid group programme or workshop?

Choose the format from how the change happens, state outcomes you can stand behind, know your break-even before you set a price, run a four-week enrolment campaign with a taster, decide go or no-go on a date you set in advance, then facilitate with agreements and design the weeks between sessions. The Group Programme and Workshop Kit from Bodhih Training gives you a file for each step.

Sound familiar?

You already feel the problem. Here is what it is costing you.

One row in the spreadsheet

You told your list a programme is coming. A few people said it sounds great. Nobody has paid, the price is not decided, and you are not sure what happens next.

Full room, empty pocket

You priced it by looking at competitors, filled every seat, and found after the venue, the co-facilitator and the fees that you earned less per hour than your associate.

The midnight decision

Five of twelve places sold, a deposit paid, two days to go. Whether to run gets decided late at night by someone tired and hopeful, instead of on a date set in advance.

One voice fills the room

By the third question in session 2 one participant has answered everything and four cameras are off. You need the words for that moment before it arrives.

The week 4 fade

Attendance is full for two weeks, then quietly drops. Nobody complains; people just stop coming, because nothing happened between sessions.

Refunds and testimonials

A request four days out, a one-line reply quoting your terms, and a public post that evening. Meanwhile the rules on reviews and consumer cancellation keep changing.

Now imagine this

Picture the next few weeks with the kit open beside you.

Picture the evening you decide. You open the Start Here map, then the calculator, and type your costs, your hours and three prices. The Summary line tells you whether a full group can pay your time. If it cannot, you change the design tonight, before a single person has seen a price.

Now it is week two of the campaign. As you open the Weekly Enrolments sheet you see you are one seat behind plan. The decision card says add a taster or a partner, not a discount. You send the partner letter from the library, rewritten in your own voice, and the early-bird date stays exactly where you said it would be.

Imagine the go/no-go date. Paid seats, strong maybes and cash profit are already on the Dashboard. You run the five questions and a short pre-mortem on page 3 of the offer sheet, tick a decision and send the same message to everyone that afternoon. Nobody is left wondering.

And then session 2, when one voice starts filling the room. The script is on your run sheet; you say it kindly, and the quiet people get their turn. Whether you start with the offer sheet tonight or the workbook tomorrow morning, the files are the same ones you will use on the last day, when someone asks what comes next.

Outcomes

When you have worked through it, you will be able to…

Every outcome is practised with a worked example and a tool, not just described.

  • Choose a format and size from how the change happens, with a capacity and a minimum set before any marketing
  • Write an offer with outcomes you can stand behind and a not-fit list that really turns people away
  • Know cash break-even, break-even paying yourself and your minimum before you publish a price
  • Plan and track a four-week enrolment campaign with a taster session, fit calls and real deadlines
  • Make the go/no-go decision on a set date with the numbers, a pre-mortem and four clear options
  • Run sessions with agreements in the group's words, half the time on practice and prepared words for hard moments
  • Design the weeks between sessions with commitments, peer partners and gentle nudges
  • Handle refunds, evaluation and testimonials within the rules, and offer follow-up only to those who ask

A taste of Chapter 1

People tend to choose a format by habit or by what other people in their field are selling. Cohorts are fashionable this year; masterminds were fashionable a few years ago. A better question is: how does the change you are promising actually happen? If it happens through a single insight and a tool, a workshop is right. If it happens through practice, reflection and other people noticing your progress, it needs weeks. If it happens through peers solving each other's real problems, it needs a small group meeting over months. Cohort-based learning, the idea of a group starting and finishing together and learning with and from each other, is what turns a set of sessions into a group. The cohort is part of the product. That has consequences: a cohort that is too small cannot do the peer work, and one that is too large stops being a group and becomes an audience.

Questions buyers ask

The Group Programme and Workshop Kit: FAQs

Read the free guideAlready bought? Resend my link

How many people should a group coaching programme have?

Work backwards from your core activity. Triads need multiples of three, a mastermind hot seat needs time for every member, and peer work fails if the group is too small. Set a capacity (the most you can serve well) and a minimum (the fewest for the activities and the numbers to work) before you market anything. Chapter 1 and the format card walk you through it.

How do I price a workshop or group programme?

Start from your costs and your time, not from a competitor's page. The calculator works out contribution per seat, cash break-even and break-even paying yourself, and shows profit at every seat count. Then set honest tiers such as early bird, standard, team and assisted place, with real deadlines.

What if not enough people sign up?

Set a minimum and a go/no-go date before you announce, and publish them. On that date, decide with the numbers in front of you: go, go with a redesign, move to a new date or cancel with full refunds, and tell everyone the same day. The kit includes the decision page and both messages.

Does the kit work for online and in-person groups?

Yes. The logistics checklist, run sheets and scripts cover online, in-person and hybrid delivery, including co-hosts, breakouts of three, time zones, venue contracts and access. The worked example is a six-week online cohort across several countries.

Does the kit give legal advice on refunds, recording or testimonials?

No. It teaches good practice and keeps country specifics in one dated sheet, correct at October 2026, with the official sources to check. The booking terms are a discussion sheet in plain words for your lawyer to formalise. Check your lawyer, accountant and local rules.

I am a therapist or counsellor. Is this kit for me?

Only for the business and administration side of running a group: the offer, numbers, enrolment, logistics and follow-up. Clinical practice, confidentiality, records and supervision follow your regulator and professional body, and the kit gives no clinical guidance.

How do I measure my starting point as a facilitator?

AssessAll offers three assessments that fit this kit: the Training Facilitation and Group Handling Assessment for Trainers and Facilitators, the Presentation Delivery Assessment with a Spoken Round, and the Employee Engagement Driver and Priority Assessment. Take one before your next run and again after the retrospective. They are separate products, linked on the Start Here map.

How can participants set goals that survive a busy week?

Chapter 8 teaches WOOP (wish, outcome, obstacle, plan), developed by Gabriele Oettingen, as a structure for between-session commitments. The Jobulary article on the WOOP method for professional goals, linked on the Start Here map, is a useful read for you and your participants when you turn it into a development plan.

How does the kit use AI?

As a drafting and sorting aid with human review: 28 prompts for marketing drafts, question triage, run sheets, session summaries and feedback themes, each with what to check. You remove names and confidences first, a human decides everything about a person, and no testimonial or result is ever written by AI.

Which software do I need?

The workbooks open in Excel, Google Sheets or LibreOffice with no macros. The forms fill in Acrobat Reader and most PDF apps, the Word files open in Word or Google Docs, the calendar imports into Google Calendar, Outlook or Apple Calendar, and the CSV imports into Trello, Asana, Notion, Planner or Jira.

What is the refund policy?

Digital kits are non-refundable once downloaded. The exceptions are corrupted files that are not fixed within 3 working days, duplicate charges, or failed delivery.

How much does The Group Programme and Workshop Kit cost?

₹999 including 18% GST for buyers in India, or $29 for buyers outside India. One-time payment, no subscription, with an automatic invoice.

How do I get the files after paying?

Instantly. Your download page opens the moment payment succeeds, and a permanent download link is emailed to you. Download each file separately or everything in one ZIP.

What software do I need?

Any of the usual tools: Excel or Google Sheets for spreadsheets, Word or Google Docs for templates, Adobe Acrobat Reader, Preview, Xodo or GoodNotes for the fillable PDFs, and Google, Outlook or Apple Calendar for the calendar plan.

Can I get a refund?

Because it is a digital download, kits are not refundable once downloaded. We always refund a duplicate charge or a failed delivery, and if a file is corrupted and we cannot fix it within 3 working days. Full terms: bodhih.org/refunds.

Can my company buy this for a team?

Yes. Team and company licences, and workshops on this topic run by Bodhih Training, are available. Write to solutions@bodhih.com or call +91 99000 11601.
