You already feel the problem. Here is what it is costing you.
A pile of tasks with no order
Deck templates, an old cap table, a list of famous funds and a meeting on Friday. Without a sequence, the weeks pass and the most important work, the story and the evidence, gets done last.
Meetings that go nowhere
Meeting one investor at a time gives every investor a reason to wait. Follow-ups slip, promised documents arrive late, and the conversation goes quiet without a clear no.
Numbers that change between documents
Retention is one figure in the deck and another in the spreadsheet. Investors notice, and one inconsistent number makes them doubt the rest.
Terms you half understand
The valuation looks good, but nobody has modelled the option pool, the SAFE conversions or the liquidation preference. The real price only becomes clear after signing.
Diligence that kills momentum
The cap table is out of date, an IP assignment is missing, and a two-day request takes two weeks. Interest cools while you search folders.
Picture the next few weeks with the kit open beside you.
Imagine the Monday after you decide to raise. You open the Start Here map, type your settings into the Fundraising Workbook, and within an hour you know your runway, whether you are default alive and what the money must achieve.
Three weeks later, as you send your intro requests in one focused week, each connector receives a blurb they can forward as it is. Your investor list is scored for fit, the data room is built and staged, and your metrics are defined the same way everywhere.
When the first meetings start, you plan each one in ten minutes, debrief within the hour and send the follow-up the same day. The Dashboard tells you every Monday who is waiting for you and what you promised. When a term sheet arrives, you already understand the terms, you have modelled the dilution, and your lawyer is on the call.
And whether you close in sixteen weeks or decide to pause and come back after a milestone, you will know why, and you will send your first monthly update on the same day every month after.

TAM, SAM and SOM are a useful way to show layers of a market: the total addressable market (everyone with the problem), the serviceable addressable market (those you can reach and serve with this product) and the serviceable obtainable market (what you can realistically win in the next few years). The trouble is that many decks fill these boxes with headline figures from industry reports. Investors have seen thousands of them, and the next question is always "what share of that is yours?" Build it bottom up instead. Count the customers who have the problem, using public business registers, trade associations or industry bodies. Multiply by what they would pay you per year. Show every step and every source. A smaller number you can defend beats a larger one you cannot.

The Startup Fundraising Kit: FAQs
Read the free guideAlready bought? Resend my linkHow do I raise a seed round?
Decide whether outside money fits, size the round from milestones, build the narrative, deck, metrics and data room before outreach, research investors who fit, run meetings in parallel, answer diligence quickly, review terms with a lawyer, close, and update investors monthly. The kit has a file for each step.
How much should a startup raise?
Enough to reach the milestones that make the next round or profitability possible, with a buffer, at a price your evidence can defend. The kit works backwards from dated milestones to a use of funds, a runway and a minimum amount to close.
What is a post-money SAFE?
A simple agreement for future equity, created at Y Combinator, where the investor's money converts into shares at a later priced round and the valuation cap is set as a post-money valuation, so the holder's percentage is clear at signing. The Dilution and SAFE Calculator shows how SAFEs convert and dilute.
How long does it take to raise a seed round?
It varies widely. The kit plans a 16-week process, with about three weeks of preparation before the first meeting, and says plainly that many raises take longer. Move the dates if you need to; keep the order.
Will this kit help me get funded?
It helps you run the parts of a raise you control: decision, plan, story, evidence, investor fit, process, terms and closing. Whether a round closes depends on your business, your market and investors' choices, so the kit makes no promise of funding.
Is this legal, tax or investment advice?
No. It is educational. Instruments, securities filings, investor tax reliefs and foreign investment rules differ by country, so country specifics are kept in one cheat sheet dated October 2026. Check your lawyer and accountant before you sign or send anything describing an investment.
How do I measure my starting point as a founder?
AssessAll offers assessments that match this kit: Founder to CEO, Business Storytelling Work Sample for Managers, Sales and Marketing Professionals, and Decision-Making Under Uncertainty. Take one before your raise and again afterwards to see what has changed. Links are on the Start Here map; the assessments are separate products.
How do I turn what I learn into a development plan?
Pick one or two founder skills the raise exposed, such as storytelling or decisions under uncertainty, and build them into a plan with dates. Jobulary explains how its development plans work, and the link is on the Start Here map.
Does it work outside the US?
Yes. The method and tools work in any country and currency, and the dated country notes cover SAFEs, notes, investor tax reliefs and filings in the US, UK and India, with what to check in Singapore, the Gulf, Africa, Europe, Canada and Australia.
Which software do I need?
The workbooks open in Excel, Google Sheets or LibreOffice with no macros. The forms are fillable in Acrobat Reader and most PDF apps, the templates open in Word or Google Docs, the calendar imports into Google Calendar, Outlook or Apple Calendar, and the CSV imports into Trello, Asana, Notion, Planner or Jira.
What is the refund policy?
Digital kits are non-refundable once downloaded. The exceptions are corrupted files that are not fixed within 3 working days, duplicate charges, or failed delivery.
How much does The Startup Fundraising Kit cost?
₹1,299 including 18% GST for buyers in India, or $34 for buyers outside India. One-time payment, no subscription, with an automatic invoice.
How do I get the files after paying?
Instantly. Your download page opens the moment payment succeeds, and a permanent download link is emailed to you. Download each file separately or everything in one ZIP.
What software do I need?
Any of the usual tools: Excel or Google Sheets for spreadsheets, Word or Google Docs for templates, Adobe Acrobat Reader, Preview, Xodo or GoodNotes for the fillable PDFs, and Google, Outlook or Apple Calendar for the calendar plan.
Can I get a refund?
Because it is a digital download, kits are not refundable once downloaded. We always refund a duplicate charge or a failed delivery, and if a file is corrupted and we cannot fix it within 3 working days. Full terms: bodhih.org/refunds.
Can my company buy this for a team?
Yes. Team and company licences, and workshops on this topic run by Bodhih Training, are available. Write to solutions@bodhih.com or call +91 99000 11601.
