Which AI/ML certification should I do?
By Bodhih Training Solutions, Bengaluru · UpdatedThe short answer
Choose an AI/ML certification by your starting point and goal. With no coding and a need to understand AI, start with a foundation level; Bodhih’s Level 1 is 12 hours, ₹9,999 plus GST. If you can learn Python and want to build models, take a practitioner level; Level 2 is 35 hours with labs and a reviewed project, ₹29,999. If you already code and want to build RAG and agent systems, take LLM engineering; Level 3 is 45 hours, ₹64,999.
How do the AI/ML certification levels compare?
Bodhih’s AI/ML pathway has three levels. The structure is typical of how the field is learned: concepts, then classical machine learning in code, then large language model systems.
| Level | Who it suits | What you do | Time | Price (ex GST) |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Level 1: AI/ML Foundations | Anyone; no coding | Diagnostic, 6 modules, two mocks, 60-question exam | 12 h / 28 d | ₹9,999 |
| Level 2: Applied AI/ML Practitioner | Comfortable learning Python | 8 code-along modules, two labs, SME-reviewed project, mock, exam | 35 h / 56 d | ₹29,999 |
| Level 3: LLM Engineering | Already codes in Python | 5 modules on RAG, agents and evaluation, six-week capstone, recorded viva with two evaluators, mock, exam | 45 h / 70 d | ₹64,999 |
Where should I start?
Answer these questions honestly.
- Never coded and want to understand AI for work decisions: Level 1
- Want to build machine learning models and can commit to Python: Level 1 then Level 2, or Level 2 if you already know the concepts
- Already a developer and want to build applications on large language models: Level 3, after checking you are comfortable with the Level 2 material
- Only want to use AI tools in a business role: a role-based Applied AI course may fit better than an AI/ML route
Should I learn classical machine learning before LLMs?
It helps. Evaluation, data quality, overfitting and baselines carry straight into LLM work, and engineers who skip them often struggle to tell whether a system is actually working. Developers in a hurry can go straight to LLM engineering, but expect to fill gaps.
How are the AI/ML levels assessed?
All three levels end with an exam taken under exam conditions, with mock exams beforehand. Level 2 adds an SME-reviewed project and Level 3 a six-week capstone and a recorded viva with two evaluators. Credentials are verifiable by link and issued as Open Badge 2.0.

Questions people ask next
Can I start at Level 2 without Level 1?
Yes, if you already understand core AI and machine learning concepts and are ready to learn Python. If terms such as training data, overfitting and evaluation are unfamiliar, Level 1 first will make Level 2 easier.
Do I need Python for Level 1?
No. AI/ML Foundations (Level 1) needs no coding at all; it explains how AI and machine learning work in plain language. Level 2, Applied AI/ML Practitioner, introduces Python through eight code-along modules and two labs, so you can learn it there.
What is LLM engineering?
LLM engineering is building applications on large language models: retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) that answers from your documents, agents that use tools, and the evaluation that shows whether the system works. Bodhih’s Level 3 covers all three.
How much does the full AI/ML pathway cost?
Individually, Level 1 costs ₹9,999, Level 2 ₹29,999 and Level 3 ₹64,999, all plus 18% GST. Company seats cost ₹7,500, ₹24,000 and ₹52,000 plus GST. You can take one level at a time and decide on the next after finishing.
Are the AI/ML exams proctored?
The AI/ML Level 1 to 3 exams are taken under exam conditions, with mock exams beforehand so you know what to expect. Level 2 adds an SME-reviewed project, and Level 3 adds a recorded viva with two evaluators.
Is an AI/ML certification enough to get a job in AI?
No certification guarantees a job. A verifiable credential backed by a reviewed project or capstone gives employers evidence of skill. Building, documenting and sharing your own projects remains important, as does being able to explain them in an interview.
How long does the whole pathway take?
Level 1 runs over 28 days, Level 2 over 56 days and Level 3 over 70 days, so about five months end to end at the planned pace, with 92 hours of study in total.
