Deliver a mindfulness programme managers take seriously — practical, research-backed and built for the working day.
Mindfulness for Managers is a 2-day programme on the PAUSE framework, turning attention and self-regulation into everyday leadership habits. Facilitator guide, slides, workbook, practices, case studies and assessments — written by Bodhih Training, ready to deliver.
- Five PAUSE pillars: Presence, Attention, Understanding Stress, Self-Regulation and Embedding practice
- Short, workplace-friendly practices: the mindfulness bell, STOP, 4-7-8 breath, body scan and the compassionate pause
- Grounded in MBSR, the neuroscience of meditation, affect labelling and psychological safety research
- Every participant leaves with a Personal Mindful Leadership Plan and an accountability partner
Mindfulness for Managers Trainer Toolkit by Bodhih Training — built on programmes delivered to 2,000+ companies since 2008.
The workshop is on the calendar. The material isn’t.
'Isn't this just breathing exercises?'
Managers arrive sceptical. Without a clear link between attention, stress and leadership behaviour, a mindfulness session is written off before lunch.
Practices that don't survive Monday
Long meditations are lovely in a training room and impossible in a packed calendar. You need micro-practices that fit between meetings, and a plan that keeps them going.
Building a credible evidence base takes time
Pulling together the research, the practices, the scripts and the team-level application for two full days is weeks of design work before you deliver a minute of it.
Picture the evening before your programme.
Imagine opening Day 1 with a simple question: where did your attention go in the last hour? Within minutes, your managers are noticing how rarely they choose it. You introduce Presence and Awareness, set up the mindfulness bell micro-practice, and by mid-morning they are scheduling it into their own calendars.
The afternoon moves to Attention Management — focused attention, open monitoring and the STOP technique — and then to Understanding Stress: what happens in the brain under pressure, and three regulation practices they can use at a desk, the 4-7-8 breath, the body scan and the compassionate pause. Every script is in the Facilitator Guide.
On Day 2 they work on the moment that matters most: the second before a reactive response. They practise the notice-name-choose sequence, explore how a leader's mood spreads through a team, design a mindful meeting opening and learn compassionate accountability. They close by writing a Personal Mindful Leadership Plan with a partner to keep them honest.
And you will likely notice the room itself becoming quieter and more attentive as the two days unfold.

What your participants will be able to do
Designed for junior leaders who manage one or more people; managers under sustained pressure who want to handle it better and leaders who have had feedback about presence, reactivity or emotional impact.
- Establish and schedule a mindfulness bell micro-practice in the working day
- Direct attention deliberately using focused attention, open monitoring and STOP
- Explain the stress response and use three regulation practices under pressure
- Identify a personal reactive pattern and interrupt it with notice-name-choose
- Design and practise a mindful meeting opening for their own team
- Hold people accountable with compassion rather than reactivity
- Complete a five-element Personal Mindful Leadership Plan with an accountability partner
Walk in with data. Walk out with proof.
Trainers who measure before and after design sharper sessions — and get rebooked. AssessAll, our sister assessment platform, has assessments that sit naturally alongside this programme.
Walk in knowing where every participant starts.
Pair Mindfulness for Managers with an AssessAll assessment. Participants take it before the workshop, so you can tune the emphasis to the room; they retake it afterwards, so you can show the client what actually moved. Better-targeted sessions, and evidence that wins the next booking.

The rest of the Bodhih family, when you need it
Make the workshop last beyond the room
A workshop is two days; the behaviour change takes months. Jobulary turns assessment evidence into a focused individual development plan (IDP) — a few quarterly objectives built on real work, re-measured honestly. Give every Mindfulness for Managers participant a plan to carry forward.
IDPs are launching soon — the working demo is free to explore now, no sign-up.
