DEI Awareness for Junior Leaders Trainer Toolkit by Bodhih Training — built on programmes delivered to 2,000+ companies since 2008.
The workshop is on the calendar. The material isn’t.
Compliance sessions that change nothing
You have seen DEI training delivered as a slide deck of definitions. People tick the box and go back to the same meetings. You want a design that builds behaviour through scenarios and practice.
Sensitive ground, high stakes
Bias, microaggressions and exclusion can make a room defensive or unsafe very quickly. Sequencing, ground rules and debriefs have to be right — and that takes far longer to design than most topics.
Leaders don't know what to actually do
Junior leaders often agree with inclusion in principle but freeze when they witness a microaggression or hear a concern. They need specific language, an upstander toolkit and a clear escalation route.
Picture the evening before your programme.
Imagine opening Day 1 with a psychological safety agreement the group writes together. Shoulders drop. Then you move into the core concepts — what diversity, equity and inclusion actually mean at team level — and the Believe and Recognise steps of BRIDGE, where participants start noticing unconscious bias in their own everyday decisions.
By the afternoon they are working through scenarios on microaggressions and exclusion: the colleague always talked over, the joke nobody challenged. The Facilitator Guide gives you the timings, the scenario briefs and the debrief questions that keep the conversation honest without turning it into blame.
Day 2 turns awareness into habit. Participants practise inclusive leadership behaviours, allyship and upstander moves, rehearse courageous conversations with the CARE dialogue model, and learn exactly when and how to escalate. They leave with a personal DEI action plan built around a real team situation they brought with them.
You'll notice how quickly the questions shift from 'Is this really an issue here?' to 'What would I say next time?'

Trainers who measure before and after design sharper sessions — and get rebooked. AssessAll, our sister assessment platform, has assessments that sit naturally alongside this programme.
Walk in knowing where every participant starts.
Pair DEI Awareness for Junior Leaders with an AssessAll assessment. Participants take it before the workshop, so you can tune the emphasis to the room; they retake it afterwards, so you can show the client what actually moved. Better-targeted sessions, and evidence that wins the next booking.

Make the workshop last beyond the room
