You already feel the problem. Here is what it is costing you.
Episodes slip, then stop
Release day moves once, then again, and the feed goes quiet. Without a buffer, a calendar and a flag that warns you early, a busy month ends a show.
Guest admin eats your week
Pitches, follow-ups, time zones, releases, prep sheets and thank-yous live in five inboxes. Something is always missing on recording day.
Every edit takes too long
Without an order, editing becomes polishing. Loudness is never measured, music licences are unclear and transcripts go out unchecked.
The numbers are confusing
Downloads look terrible on day two and wonderful on day thirty. Sponsors ask for a media kit and you are not sure what to say, or what to charge.
Picture the next few weeks with the kit open beside you.
Imagine next Thursday morning. As you open the workbook, the Episodes sheet already shows the next three episodes recorded, one in edit and none flagged. The guest booked for Tuesday has signed the release, and the prep sheet went out a week ago with both time zones written out.
Picture recording day. The pre-flight card is on your desk; you run down it in ten minutes, the backup is running, the guest is on headphones and the levels sit well below the red. Afterwards you log the peaks and the markers, and the editor knows exactly where to cut.
Now see the week after release. You type downloads at 7 days, glance at the Dashboard, and compare this episode only with others at the same age. When a sponsor asks for numbers, you send a media kit where every number is defined and priced from your own rate card.
Whether you start with the concept canvas tonight or the workbook's Settings sheet tomorrow, the first hour is mapped for you, and each chapter tells you which file to open next.

CPM means cost per mille: the price per thousand downloads. If an episode gets 2,000 downloads in 30 days and the CPM is 25, one read is worth 50. The Rate Card sheet does the sum with your own 30-day average. For small shows the CPM sum gives tiny numbers. At Night Shift Founders' sample average of about 228 downloads at 30 days, a 25 CPM mid-roll comes to under 6 USD. So the Rate Card also has a floor price per slot, set on Settings, and uses whichever is higher. Small, specific shows often sell value rather than volume: a package of reads plus a newsletter mention and a clip, to a sponsor whose customers are exactly your listeners. Price it honestly and say what the numbers mean.

The Podcast Launch and Production Kit: FAQs
Read the free guideAlready bought? Resend my linkDo I need expensive equipment to start a podcast?
No. The room matters more than the microphone: a small, soft room and a dynamic microphone that sounds clean in it go a long way. The calculator lets you list equipment, spread its cost over its life and see what each episode really costs before you buy.
How long should a podcast episode be, and how often should I release?
Match the length to your listener's routine and the cadence to what you can keep in your busiest month. Chapter 1 and the Format Decision Card walk you through it, and seasons with planned breaks are often easier to sustain than an ongoing weekly show.
What is a good number of downloads?
There is no single benchmark that fits every topic, format and country, so the kit gives none. It shows you how to compare your own episodes at 7 and 30 days, read consumption and follows alongside downloads, and set your own targets from your first eight weeks.
Can I use this with my team or co-host?
Yes, within your own show or business under the personal licence: share the workbook, forms and checklists with your co-host, editor and producer. Company, network and multi-show licences are available from solutions@bodhih.com.
Does it work in my country?
The method works anywhere and the workbooks take any currency and time zone. The dated sheet covers platform rules and disclosure guidance for the US, UK, India and Australia, with notes for the EU and others. Laws on consent, disclosure, music, privacy and tax need checking locally.
Is this legal or tax advice?
No. The kit is educational. The release form, agreement discussion sheet and show standards are plain-words starting points for a lawyer to formalise, and the money pages ask you to check your accountant. Platform rules change, so the dated sheet says when it was checked.
Does the kit cover AI tools and voice cloning?
Yes, tool-agnostically. Chapter 10 and the prompt pack show where AI helps (transcripts, clean-up, drafts, clips) and the human review rule. The kit is clear that you never clone a real person's voice without written consent and that synthetic voices are labelled as platforms and the law require.
How can I measure my starting point as an interviewer?
Interviewing is listening and questioning under time pressure. If you want to measure your starting point, AssessAll offers the Workplace Listening Assessment for Employees, Managers and Support Teams; Presentation Delivery Assessment with a Spoken Round for Managers, Sales and Client-Facing Teams; and Discovery & Questioning Skill assessments, sold separately at assessall.com.
How do I turn a weekly recording block into a habit?
The calendar and the first-week plan help, and an if-then plan helps more: 'If it is Tuesday at 18:00, then I record.' Jobulary's article 'If-then plans that make habits stick' explains the method if you want to turn it into a development plan.
What if I already have a show?
Start with the season review on page 4 of the concept canvas, then set up the workbook with your next season. Many of the tools (the guest pipeline, editing QC, distribution checklist and rate card) slot into an existing show straight away.
How much does The Podcast Launch and Production Kit cost?
₹999 including 18% GST for buyers in India, or $29 for buyers outside India. One-time payment, no subscription, with an automatic invoice.
How do I get the files after paying?
Instantly. Your download page opens the moment payment succeeds, and a permanent download link is emailed to you. Download each file separately or everything in one ZIP.
What software do I need?
Any of the usual tools: Excel or Google Sheets for spreadsheets, Word or Google Docs for templates, Adobe Acrobat Reader, Preview, Xodo or GoodNotes for the fillable PDFs, and Google, Outlook or Apple Calendar for the calendar plan.
Can I get a refund?
Because it is a digital download, kits are not refundable once downloaded. We always refund a duplicate charge or a failed delivery, and if a file is corrupted and we cannot fix it within 3 working days. Full terms: bodhih.org/refunds.
Can my company buy this for a team?
Yes. Team and company licences, and workshops on this topic run by Bodhih Training, are available. Write to solutions@bodhih.com or call +91 99000 11601.
