Quick answer

How do I plan a family move abroad?

Decide together first, then score destinations on weighted criteria, check every rule on the official government page and every adviser on the official register, work out your arrival cash number, build a document vault and count a 12-month timeline back from departure day. The Move Abroad Master Plan by Bodhih Training gives you the workbook, checklists and letters for each step.

Sound familiar?

You already feel the problem. Here is what it is costing you.

Forty tabs and no plan

Videos, forums and well-meaning relatives all say something different. Weeks go by and you still do not know what to do first, or what the whole thing costs.

The money surprise

Most of the money leaves in the last two months: flights, freight, deposits and furniture land together. Families who budget only for the application can run short exactly when they arrive.

Paperwork that stalls everything

One missing transcript, an expiring child's passport or a document without the right apostille can hold up an application, a school place or a job start.

Fear of being cheated

Fake job offers, unlicensed advisers and rental scams target people moving abroad. You need a simple way to check before you pay.

Now imagine this

Picture the next few weeks with the kit open beside you.

Imagine a Sunday evening a few weeks from now. As you open the Dashboard at the family check-in, the timeline shows what is done, what is due and the two things that are late, and nobody has to remember anything.

When you fill in the Funds Plan, you see one number, your arrival cash number, and the gap between it and the money that genuinely counts. You can decide calmly how to close it, with a source and a date for each part.

As you check an adviser on the official register before you pay, or phone an employer's main number before you answer an offer, the fear of being cheated becomes a routine you can trust.

And when the day comes, the document folders are in your hand luggage, each child has a wallet card, the box labelled OPEN FIRST is where it should be, and the first week has one or two jobs a day, with rest.

A taste of Chapter 1

Most families research first and decide later. It feels sensible: how can you decide without facts? But research without an agreed purpose turns into an endless comparison of everything with everything. Worse, one adult usually does most of the research, and by the time the others are asked, the decision has been made in all but name. Children feel this instantly, as Tara did. So the first job is not research. It is a conversation that answers three questions. Why are we thinking about moving? What would a good life look like two years after we arrive? And what would make us say "not now"? Answer those three honestly, on paper, and the research that follows has a purpose: it tests a plan instead of replacing one.

Questions buyers ask

The Move Abroad Master Plan: FAQs

Read the free guideAlready bought? Resend my link

Does this kit tell me which visa to apply for?

No. Nobody honest can do that without your facts, and the rules change often. The kit teaches you to use the official government page and a licensed adviser, gives you the questions to ask, and keeps every specific in a sheet dated November 2026.

Does it work in my country?

The method works for any origin and destination: the workbook takes any two currency codes and an exchange rate. The dated sheet covers the regulators and sources we checked for Canada, the UK, Australia, New Zealand and India, with pointers for other countries. Laws and procedures always need checking locally.

Can I use this with my family, or as a relocation consultant with clients?

Yes, within your own household under the personal licence. Relocation professionals and companies who want to use the kit with clients or employees need a team or company licence: email solutions@bodhih.com.

How much money do I need to move abroad?

It depends on your destination, route, household and plans, so the kit does not give a figure. It shows you how to work out your own arrival cash number: one-off costs, plus a contingency, plus several months of destination living costs, compared with the funds that genuinely count.

How do I check that an immigration consultant is licensed?

Find the official register yourself and match the name, number and status exactly. The verification checklist walks you through it and the dated sheet names the registers we checked, such as the CICC register in Canada and the Immigration Advice Authority in the UK.

What is an apostille and do I need one?

An apostille confirms a public document is genuine for use in countries that have joined the Hague Apostille Convention. Whether a document needs one, attestation, a notarised copy or a translation is decided by the body receiving it, so the kit shows you how to find and follow its list.

Is this financial, tax or legal advice?

No. It is educational and practical. Templates are starting points, not legal documents. Tax residency, remittance limits and tax at source differ by country, so the kit gives you questions to take to qualified advisers in both countries.

Where do I measure my starting point?

Moving abroad tests how you handle change, pressure and new cultures. AssessAll's Change Leadership & Adaptability, Cross-Cultural & Inclusive Leadership and Behaviour Under Pressure assessments (separate products) give you a starting point to work from.

How do I keep going when the plan stalls?

Use the monthly check-in as a fresh start. Jobulary's guide to using the fresh-start effect to reset a goal turns a stalled plan into a development plan you can restart.

What software do I need?

Excel, Google Sheets or LibreOffice for the workbook; Word or Google Docs for templates; any PDF reader for the forms; any calendar app for the ICS file. The print pack prints on A4 or US Letter.

How much does The Move Abroad Master Plan cost?

₹1,299 including 18% GST for buyers in India, or $34 for buyers outside India. One-time payment, no subscription, with an automatic invoice.

How do I get the files after paying?

Instantly. Your download page opens the moment payment succeeds, and a permanent download link is emailed to you. Download each file separately or everything in one ZIP.

Can I get a refund?

Because it is a digital download, kits are not refundable once downloaded. We always refund a duplicate charge or a failed delivery, and if a file is corrupted and we cannot fix it within 3 working days. Full terms: bodhih.org/refunds.

Can my company buy this for a team?

Yes. Team and company licences, and workshops on this topic run by Bodhih Training, are available. Write to solutions@bodhih.com or call +91 99000 11601.
