How do you calculate true profit per SKU on a marketplace?
Follow one sale down the fee waterfall: take the price, remove included tax, then the referral fee, fixed fees, payment fee, fulfilment, shipping and storage, packaging, landed cost and a returns provision. That is margin before ads; subtract ad cost per unit for net margin. The Marketplace Seller Margin and Operations System from Bodhih Training does this per listing.

You already feel the problem. Here is what it is costing you.
Sales go up and cash does not
The marketplace dashboard shows sales, not what each sale leaves after referral, fulfilment, storage, returns and ads. Without margin per listing, a best-seller can quietly be your biggest loss.
Ads that buy sales you would have had anyway
ACoS looks fine, but organic sales fall as ad sales rise. Without break-even ACoS and TACoS side by side, ad spend grows faster than profit.
Stock that is never right
Too little and you lose ranking for weeks; too much and ageing fees eat the margin. Without weeks of cover and a reorder date, every shipment is a guess.
Money left on the table
Lost units, short shipments, unreturned refunds and fee tier errors each look small. Without a claims log and a monthly reconciliation, nobody notices until the year is over.
Picture the next few weeks with the kit open beside you.
Picture next Monday at half past nine. You open the Marketplace Seller Workbook and give it an hour. The SKU Master shows true margin for every listing, and the three that lose money are already red. The Weekly SKU Review suggests a decision for each one, and you type your own: fix the price, fix the ads, fix the box, or stop reordering.
As you work through the week, every campaign is checked against its break-even ACoS, every shipment against what was received, and every return against a claim deadline. When a policy notice arrives on a Friday evening, you open the appeal planner instead of replying in a hurry.
Then imagine the first working day of next month. You paste the settlement lines into the reconciliation sheet, and a fee charged on the wrong weight slab shows up in a single flagged row. You raise the case from a template, with the evidence attached, before you have finished your coffee.
Whether you start with the SKU Master tonight or the calculator tomorrow, the kit gives you a file for each step, so you can build the system one listing and one habit at a time.

Every marketplace sale flows down the same waterfall. Start with the price the buyer pays. Take out any sales tax included in it, because that money belongs to the tax authority. Take out the marketplace's referral fee or commission, usually a percentage of the price, sometimes with a minimum. Take out any fixed, closing or per-order fee. Take out any payment or collection fee. Take out fulfilment, shipping and storage, which depend on size, weight and how long stock sits in the warehouse. Take out your packaging. Take out the landed cost of the product. Take out a provision for returns. What is left is your margin before ads. Take out the ad cost per unit and you have your net margin per unit, the number that pays your rent.

The Marketplace Seller Margin and Operations System: FAQs
Read the free guideAlready bought? Resend my linkWhich marketplaces does it work with?
Any marketplace where you pay fees on each sale: Amazon, Flipkart, eBay, Etsy, Noon, Shopee, Lazada, Meesho, Walmart Marketplace, Mercado Libre, Takealot and others. You type each marketplace's fee rates from your own rate card, so the workbook follows whatever fee structure applies to you.
Can I use this with my staff or team?
Yes, within your own business under the personal licence: your team can use the workbook, forms, SOPs and templates to run your marketplace channels. Agencies running channels for several clients, and companies wanting multi-site or company-wide use, can ask about company licences at solutions@bodhih.com.
Does it work in my country?
The method is universal and the workbook works in any currency. The dated platform and country sheet covers named marketplaces, India's tax collected at source, US review rules and EU and US cross-border changes, with sources. Fees, tax and customs rules are local and change often, so check them with the platform, your accountant and your customs broker.
How do I calculate profit margin per SKU on Amazon or Flipkart?
Start with the price, remove included tax, then subtract the referral fee, fixed or closing fee, payment fee, fulfilment, shipping, storage, packaging, landed cost and a returns provision to get margin before ads. Subtract ad spend per unit for net margin. The SKU Master does this for every listing from your own rates.
What is the difference between ACoS and TACoS?
ACoS is ad spend divided by the sales credited to ads. TACoS is ad spend divided by all sales of the listing. ACoS shows whether a campaign is efficient; TACoS shows whether ads are growing the business or replacing organic sales. The workbook shows both, plus each listing's break-even ACoS.
Will this kit increase my sales or ranking?
No promise of sales, ranking or profit is made. The kit gives you methods and tools to see your real numbers and run the operation well. Results depend on your products, your market, the marketplace's rules and many things outside anyone's control.
Is this legal, tax or customs advice?
No. It is educational operating guidance. Marketplace terms, product compliance, tax collected at source, customs and intellectual property rules differ by country and change often. Check the platform's current terms, your accountant, your customs broker and, for disputes, a qualified lawyer.
How can I measure my starting point?
If you want to measure your starting point, AssessAll offers related assessments sold separately: Commercial Judgment & Market Sense, Demand and Inventory Planning Judgment for Supply Chain and Operations Teams, and Data Interpretation: Tables & Charts. They suit you or a team member who handles pricing, stock or reporting.
How do I turn this into a development plan for my team?
Use the kit's 30/60/90 day plan for the operation. To turn skills gaps in your team into a structured development plan, Jobulary shows how it works at jobulary.com/how-it-works.
Does it cover my own website store or warehouse management?
No. This kit owns third-party marketplaces. Your own web store is covered by The Online Store Operations Manual, warehouse stock control by The Inventory and Warehouse Control Kit, and landed cost by The Landed Cost and Export Pricing System.
How much does The Marketplace Seller Margin and Operations System cost?
₹999 including 18% GST for buyers in India, or $29 for buyers outside India. One-time payment, no subscription, with an automatic invoice.
How do I get the files after paying?
Instantly. Your download page opens the moment payment succeeds, and a permanent download link is emailed to you. Download each file separately or everything in one ZIP.
What software do I need?
Any of the usual tools: Excel or Google Sheets for spreadsheets, Word or Google Docs for templates, Adobe Acrobat Reader, Preview, Xodo or GoodNotes for the fillable PDFs, and Google, Outlook or Apple Calendar for the calendar plan.
Can I get a refund?
Because it is a digital download, kits are not refundable once downloaded. We always refund a duplicate charge or a failed delivery, and if a file is corrupted and we cannot fix it within 3 working days. Full terms: bodhih.org/refunds.
Can my company buy this for a team?
Yes. Team and company licences, and workshops on this topic run by Bodhih Training, are available. Write to solutions@bodhih.com or call +91 99000 11601.
