You already feel the problem. Here is what it is costing you.
Applying everywhere, hearing nothing
The same CV and letter sent to every advert, with no record of what went where. Rejections arrive and you cannot tell what to change.
Tests and assessment centres you did not see coming
Timed tests, group exercises and presentations check different things from interviews. Without practice and stories, good candidates fall at stages they could have passed.
An offer you said yes to too fast
Unclear dates, unpaid work you cannot afford, or a visa condition you did not check. The offer stage is when you have most influence, and it passes quickly.
Two quiet weeks and no idea what you are meant to learn
Without agreed goals, interns get whatever work is lying around. Managers cannot tell if it is going well, and neither can you.
A report and portfolio with nothing to show
Weeks blur together, the best work has no notes, and you are not sure what you are allowed to share. The evidence was there; nobody captured it.
Picture the next few weeks with the kit open beside you.
Imagine a Friday afternoon during your search. You open one dashboard and see, in seconds, how many applications you sent this week, which ones need a polite follow-up, and whether tailored applications are getting further than generic ones. You know what to change on Monday, because the numbers tell you.
As you add tonight's application to the tracker, notice how small the step is: one row, the same day. That row is what lets you answer a recruiter's call calmly, and it is what turns rejection emails into lessons rather than noise.
When the offer arrives, you will already have the checklist open: dates, hours, pay, manager, right to work, the true weekly cost. In your first week you will ask two good questions a day and walk into a goals meeting with a draft. Every Friday, fifteen minutes of logging builds the report and portfolio you will need later.
Whether you start with your target list tonight or the CV template tomorrow morning, the first hour is mapped for you, step by step, and every step names the file and the first thing to type.

An internship is a fixed period of supervised work, usually while you are studying or just after, that is meant to teach you something you cannot learn in a lecture. Names vary: internship, placement, vacation work, co-op, industrial training, sandwich year, research placement. So do lengths, pay and whether it counts towards your degree. What they share is the trade: you give real work and attention; the organisation gives you experience, supervision and evidence of what you can do. That gives you four honest reasons to want one. To learn how work in your field is really done. To test whether you like it before you commit to it. To collect evidence: projects, feedback and referees you can use in later applications. And to meet people who can tell you how the field works. A possible route to a graduate job is a fifth reason, but it is the one you control least, so do not make it the only one.
The honest comparison
| Free templates and typical advice | This kit | |
|---|---|---|
| Search | A list of job boards | A scored target list with weights you set, from four or more sources |
| Tracking | A blank spreadsheet or nothing | An application tracker with follow-up flags, stage funnel and interview rate |
| Interviews | Lists of questions | A STAR story bank, prep sheet, assessment centre plan and printed story cards |
| Offers | Say yes and hope | An offer checklist, true-cost calculator, weighted score and a dated rules sheet |
| During the internship | Advice to 'be proactive' | A goals agreement, weekly log, feedback tracker, review forms and 40 exact messages |
| Afterwards | A rushed report from memory | A portfolio register with clearance, report template and a route-back conversation card |

The Internship and Placement Kit: FAQs
Read the free guideAlready bought? Resend my linkWill this kit get me an internship?
No kit can promise that: employers decide on their own needs, budgets and timing. The kit gives you a method and tools to search well, prepare properly and make the most of a placement once you have one.
How many internships should I apply for?
There is no right number for everyone. A steady two tailored applications a week to scored targets is often more useful than many rushed ones. Track your interview rate after about ten applications and change the method if it stays low.
Will it write my CV, cover letter or placement report?
No. It gives you templates, a worksheet and prompts that ask you questions and point out gaps. Every word you send or submit must be your own and true, and AI use must follow your university's and employer's policies.
Does it work in my country?
The method works anywhere. The dated sheet names official guidance on unpaid internships and study-visa work for the US, the UK, India and others as at November 2026, with where to check. Laws change and differ, so confirm with the official source and your careers service or international adviser.
Can I use this with my students or society members?
Yes, within your own teaching, supervision or society sessions under the personal licence, for example to run an internship workshop. Each student should use their own copy of the workbook. Department, society and multi-user licences are available from solutions@bodhih.com.
Is an unpaid internship worth it?
It depends on what you will learn, whether you can afford it, and whether it is lawful where you are. The offer calculator shows the true cost; the dated sheet points to the official rules; your careers service can advise on a specific offer.
Do I need Excel?
No. The workbooks open in Excel, Google Sheets and LibreOffice. The forms fill in any form-friendly PDF reader, and the Word templates open in Word or Google Docs.
How can I measure my starting point?
If you want an independent check, the AssessAll assessments Graduate Employability Skills Assessment with a Portable Record, Study Skills & Learning Strategies and Global English Proficiency measure employability skills, study habits and English proficiency. They are optional and separate from the kit.
How do I turn this into a development plan?
Your learning goals already mix doing the work, learning from people and formal learning. Jobulary's explainer on the 70-20-10 model shows how to use that mix as a practical development plan, and where its limits are.
Is the content on pay, visas and rights legal advice?
No. It is educational and helps you ask the right questions. Your university, the official guidance in your country and qualified advisers decide what applies to you.
How much does The Internship and Placement Kit cost?
₹799 including 18% GST for buyers in India, or $24 for buyers outside India. One-time payment, no subscription, with an automatic invoice.
How do I get the files after paying?
Instantly. Your download page opens the moment payment succeeds, and a permanent download link is emailed to you. Download each file separately or everything in one ZIP.
What software do I need?
Any of the usual tools: Excel or Google Sheets for spreadsheets, Word or Google Docs for templates, Adobe Acrobat Reader, Preview, Xodo or GoodNotes for the fillable PDFs, and Google, Outlook or Apple Calendar for the calendar plan.
Can I get a refund?
Because it is a digital download, kits are not refundable once downloaded. We always refund a duplicate charge or a failed delivery, and if a file is corrupted and we cannot fix it within 3 working days. Full terms: bodhih.org/refunds.
Can my company buy this for a team?
Yes. Team and company licences, and workshops on this topic run by Bodhih Training, are available. Write to solutions@bodhih.com or call +91 99000 11601.
