Quick answer

How do I run an online academy or blended programme well?

Choose a delivery mode per programme, keep a short catalogue with mapped outcomes, put an accessibility gate on content, own your platform data, set instructor SLAs, run fixed intakes, watch activation and at-risk signals weekly, safeguard under-18s and measure one completion definition. The Online Academy and Blended Programme Kit from Bodhih Training gives you the tools for each step.

Sound familiar?

You already feel the problem. Here is what it is costing you.

Completion nobody can explain

About half of learners finish, there are three versions of the number, and nobody knows where people stopped or why.

Learners who quietly disappear

Automatic reminders go out, but no person notices when a learner has not logged in for a week or is falling far behind the calendar.

Instructors working to different rules

Forum replies take days, feedback arrives late, and nobody wrote down what good looks like or when anyone was last observed.

Content and platform risks

Videos go live with automatic captions, third-party images have no licence, and the platform contract does not guarantee you can take your data with you.

Cohorts that run at a loss

Small groups run because nobody worked out the break-even cohort size or set a date to decide.

Now imagine this

Picture the next few weeks with the kit open beside you.

Imagine opening the Online Academy Operations Workbook on a Friday afternoon and seeing, on one screen, activation for the new intake, the learners flagged At risk, support and marking against your SLAs, and every content item that is blocked at the accessibility gate.

As you type your own programme into the calculator, you will notice the moment the numbers become clear: the break-even cohort size, the learners you need for your margin and the price that makes the programme work.

When a learner goes quiet in week 3, a person reaches out within two working days with words from the message library, a catch-up plan is logged on the intervention record, and the next Friday you can see whether it worked.

And at your quarterly review, you will have one completion number everyone understands, honest certificate wording, QA scores with actions, and contribution for every cohort. Whether you start with the calculator tonight or the Settings sheet tomorrow morning, the first hour is mapped out for you.

A taste of Chapter 8

Priya is a learner in Kestrel's October People Analytics cohort, in Pune. Week 3 coincided with a project deadline at work. She missed a live session, then the lab, then felt too far behind to open the platform at all. The platform sent her two automatic reminders, which she deleted. On Friday 6 November, the Learners sheet flagged her At risk: fourteen days with no activity and about twenty-five points behind the calendar. Rohan emailed her that afternoon. On Monday, with no reply, the coordinator sent a WhatsApp message (Priya had agreed to WhatsApp at enrolment). Priya replied within an hour. They agreed a two-week catch-up plan and a five-day extension on the capstone. On Tuesday she submitted two labs.

Questions buyers ask

The Online Academy and Blended Programme Kit: FAQs

Read the free guideAlready bought? Resend my link

Can I use this with my team, instructors and staff?

Yes. Under the personal licence you can use the kit within your own academy with your staff, instructors and tutors, including the handbook, policies, instructor guide and print pack. Company and multi-site licences are available via solutions@bodhih.com.

Does it work in my country?

The method works anywhere and the workbooks take any currency, tax placeholder and time zones. The dated sheet covers India, the UK, the EU, the US, Canada, Australia, Singapore and the UAE as at October 2026, with notes on others, but education, consumer, data and safeguarding rules change and differ locally, so check your regulator and lawyer.

How do I improve completion in an online programme?

Use one completion definition, then look at where learners stop. Make the first week easy and personal, put a small marked task in week 1, match the weekly workload to what you promised, and run a weekly review where a person contacts every learner flagged at risk. The kit gives you the sheets, forms and messages for each step.

What is the difference between SCORM, xAPI and LTI?

SCORM packages a course module so an LMS can play it and record completion. xAPI records learning activity as statements inside or outside an LMS. LTI plugs external tools into your platform without separate logins. Chapter 5 and the Platform Selection Scorecard explain what to ask vendors for.

Does the kit promise better completion, enrolments or results?

No. It helps you run the academy with clear definitions, routines and records so you can see what is happening and act on it. Results depend on your programmes, learners, team and market. The worked example presents a target and early signals, not a promise.

Is this legal, accreditation or safeguarding advice?

No. The kit is educational. Terms, policies and agreements are discussion drafts for your lawyer, certificate wording must match any written recognition agreement, and the online safety rules support but do not replace a safeguarding policy reviewed by a qualified person under your local law.

Does it cover learners under 18?

Yes: online safety rules, a live class rules poster, the two-adult and recording consent checks on the Live Sessions sheet, background check and training status on the Instructors sheet, a DSL route and parent and guardian messages.

How should my academy use AI?

AI can draft announcements, feedback and practice questions and summarise anonymised feedback, but a person decides grades, integrity outcomes, admissions, refunds and interventions, and learners are told where AI helped. The policy pack includes a one-page AI use policy and the prompt pack has prompts for every step.

How can I measure my team's starting point?

If you want to measure your team's starting point, AssessAll offers related assessments sold separately: Instructional Design Work Sample for Trainers, Instructional Designers and Subject-Matter Experts, Training Evaluation and Programme Effectiveness and Project & Delivery Leadership. They suit instructional designers, programme leads and the person who runs delivery.

How do I turn this into a development plan?

Use the kit's 30/60/90 day plan for the academy. To turn what you learn into a measured personal development plan, Jobulary's individual development plan guide at jobulary.com is a practical place to start.

How much does The Online Academy and Blended Programme Kit cost?

₹999 including 18% GST for buyers in India, or $29 for buyers outside India. One-time payment, no subscription, with an automatic invoice.

How do I get the files after paying?

Instantly. Your download page opens the moment payment succeeds, and a permanent download link is emailed to you. Download each file separately or everything in one ZIP.

What software do I need?

Any of the usual tools: Excel or Google Sheets for spreadsheets, Word or Google Docs for templates, Adobe Acrobat Reader, Preview, Xodo or GoodNotes for the fillable PDFs, and Google, Outlook or Apple Calendar for the calendar plan.

Can I get a refund?

Because it is a digital download, kits are not refundable once downloaded. We always refund a duplicate charge or a failed delivery, and if a file is corrupted and we cannot fix it within 3 working days. Full terms: bodhih.org/refunds.

Can my company buy this for a team?

Yes. Team and company licences, and workshops on this topic run by Bodhih Training, are available. Write to solutions@bodhih.com or call +91 99000 11601.
