What is the best business English course for working professionals in India?
The best business English course for a working professional is one that practises the situations you meet at work and measures whether you are understood, rather than grading grammar or accent. Bodhih Workplace English is built that way: a diagnostic of speaking, listening and writing in work situations, practice chosen from your own weakest readings, one real message reviewed by a person, and the diagnostic re-run at the end.
How long does the Workplace English course take?
The Workplace English course takes about 30 hours over 60 days, across 8 stages. Most of that is four practice blocks of about seven hours each, spread over two weeks per block in sessions of 10 to 15 minutes, so it fits around a full-time job. The diagnostic at the start takes about 25 minutes and is run again at the end.
How much does the business English course cost?
Bodhih Workplace English costs ₹4,999 plus GST for an individual learner, paid once with no subscription, and ₹3,999 per seat for companies. GST at 18% applies to Indian billing addresses. Individuals pay online by UPI, card or netbanking, start as soon as payment is confirmed, and receive a GST invoice automatically.
Will this course change my accent?
No. Bodhih Workplace English does not coach accents and does not measure them. It measures whether a listener understands you and how much effort that takes. Practice concentrates on what actually blocks understanding, such as dropped word endings, stress on the wrong word, or a sound that changes the meaning of a word for speakers of your first language. Everything else about how you speak is left alone.
Is Indian English acceptable in a global workplace?
Yes. Indian English is a variety of English in its own right, and this course treats it that way, as it does every other variety. The aim is to be understood by the people you work with, not to sound like someone else. Features such as the “th” sound are not corrected unless they stop a listener understanding you.
How is my English measured in this course?
Your English is measured by the Lingua diagnostic, which takes about 25 minutes. You speak, listen and write in short work situations. It reports how much a listener catches when you speak, how much effort you cost them, and how clearly your writing can be acted on. The same diagnostic is re-run at the end, and you are measured again at 90 days.
Do I get a certificate at the end of Workplace English?
No. Workplace English has no exam and does not issue a certificate or credential. Completion is recorded, and what you get instead is a measurement: your diagnostic readings before you start, the same diagnostic at the end, and a re-measurement at 90 days. That shows whether you are understood better, which a certificate of attendance cannot show.
Does this course prepare me for Versant, Linguaskill or IELTS?
No. Workplace English is not test preparation and makes no claim about any test score. Some of what those tests sample, such as clear speech, listening and functional writing, overlaps with what you practise here, so the practice is relevant. But the course does not teach test formats or timings. If you need a particular score, use a preparation course for that test.
Will this course take me to a particular CEFR level?
The course does not promise a CEFR level, or any level by a particular date. It is designed for people who already work in English and want to be understood more easily. What it promises is a measurement: your readings before the practice, the same diagnostic after it, and a re-measurement at 90 days, so you can see what changed for you.
Can a company buy Workplace English seats for a BPO, GCC or IT team?
Yes. Companies can buy seats at ₹3,999 per seat for companies, plus GST, and assign them to their people. Each learner takes their own diagnostic, gets their own plan, and is re-measured individually, so L&D can see results per person. It suits contact centre, GCC, IT services, healthcare operations and finance shared services teams. Write to solutions@bodhih.com or call +91 99000 11601.
What does a practice session look like, and what do I need?
A practice session takes 10 to 15 minutes. It might be a speaking drill scored by speech recognition, a roleplay where a voiced counterpart opens and you reply, a listening checkpoint you hear once, or a short written task judged against a rubric. You need a device with a microphone, and headphones or speakers. The listening audio is a computer-generated voice in clear UK English.
